Thanks, man! I just disconnected the hi-lo switch on the side of the tranny from the 4wd shifter linkage. Then I used a 4' piece of 3/8" steel rod. I welded a bolt on the end to screw into the original ball swivel/ hi-lo shifter mount thingie. Then cut a hole in the tranny tunnel below where I wanted to mount the shifter, making it long and skinny to allow movement. Then, using trial and error methods, I bent the bar so it went from the hi-lo swith to the hole. The bar has a 90* bend at the end so it enters the cabin about an inch or so. After satisfaction with the routing of the steel bar, I welded a nut to the end (interior). I then made a shifter out af a (broken) breaker bar handle with two holes about an 1 1/2" apart, and a piece if 1/8" steel strap, and other various parts that you can figure out yourself if you made it this far.
