  1. Would it be possible to get a picture maybe? ded
  2. It's the selenoid. In the second picture that was posted the selenoid that takes you out of 4wd is broken, so that you can't even put a line on it. I've looked in every junk yard around here can't find one, so I had to order it. Gonna take awhile to get it so i'm just wondering if there is a way to jury rig it in the meantime. ded.
  3. Ok before anyone say's do a search. I know why it's stuck. The selenoid is broken, A new one is on order no worries. But what I'm wondering is if there is a sleezy cheezy way to get it into 2wd until my part shows up? Pictures would be great :0) Thanks. Ded
  4. uhh. Then I'd have to scrap all that vacuum stuff. . . can't wait for my vacation this summer, think I"m going to spend 2 weeks dinkin around on my scooby ru. ded
  5. Ok I was at the local bone yard, and I found d/r 5 speed manual trans in a 89 GL only thing is it didn't have the push button 4wd. How much of a problem is that??? Ded
  6. silly question but what does the EJ22 stand for??? **edit n/m 2.2 litre. Still curious as to what the E and J are for. Ded
  7. Ok n/m the winch then. I am more of a function over look guy myself. Ok so if I'm getting this right. I would end up w/ a second shifter kinda like the older toyota's w/ the d/r trans. I think after I get done w/ my paint job I'm going to work on finding the tranny you spoke of. Would it be better to go to a junk yard or just buy it in a crate?? **edit. Oh ya quick Q. My oil pressure drops at idle from 45lbs to 0 is that normal??? Shouldn't my oil pressure be static? I'm also wondering is there a repair manual or something that is more indepth than say a Haynes or a Chilton??? I'm going to need details and LOTS of pictures :0). Thanks guys I appreciate the explanations. Ded
  8. the D/R is that something you manually have to do when shifting? Like an 18 wheeler? no winches huh. . . poooh. I thought mine would look cool with a brush guard and winch :0) So the D/R trans come out of the 2 door? And the motor that was listed what subbie does that come out of typically? Dedpossum Thanks again
  9. I'm very new here, but am looking forward to posting and reading!!! Everyone seems really friendly. I just bought a 92 loyale 5spd 4wd. I LOVE IT!!!! This car is so much fun. Took it mudding twice. I'm sold. . . I knew I'd love my subaru, and it has not disappointed. However. . now it's time to play. I am by no means a gear head, however I can tinker with the best of them. My first obstacle is all the abbreviations floating around. But here are the questions. I want to put a brush guard and winch (incase I get stuck) on the front, maybe some sort of fog lights, lift it up just a tad. I was noticing that my baby was a bit gutless even in first gear. Any way to spruce up the performance. Also if I were to swap engines what would be the easiest to put in???? Thanks in advance. Dedpossum
  10. Ya ok i'm coming really late into this one. But I two just bought a 92 Loyale, I LOVE this car. It is so much fun. What is the dual range for??? Is that like what you have on a semi?? I'm a noob, but I think it's going to be fun playing with this car. I have plans. . . big plans for my little rooster. ded
