  1. I am looking for a radiator fan from an older Subaru. (I have the EA-81 engine) If you have one available you can contact me at: carlleetrike@gmail.com I need one or more. I will need price quote shipped to ZIP 65401. Thanks, Carl
  2. Not sure what all I have left. What do you need? Been a couple of years since I salvaged the car out. wainlee@Hotmail.com
  3. Thanks, Yes it was a turbo engine. I am wanting to switch it over to a weber, and use it in a trike.
  4. kennedy engineering in California makes an adapter for the EA-71 engine. The EA-81 is the same adapter. Go to: kennedyeng.com
  5. Hi, Can I change the intake manifold on a EA-81 fuel injected engine and use a carb on it? Also should I leave the injectors in, or should I put plugs in the injector holes? Thank you, Carl My email is: wainlee@Hotmail.com
  6. Will a EA-71 (1600) engine exhaust fit a EA-81 (1800) engine? I am talking about the pipes that bolt to the heads. Is the flanges the same size on the two engines? Thanks, Carl
  7. Hi, Carl here. I have 5 (15") alloy pugs, with center caps, and lug nuts. I would like $450.00 for the set. I am laid up now with back surgery, but I think I can get some one to strap them on a pallet for shipment. I will not arrange shipping, but will have them delievered to a facility here near ZIP 65401. I will have the tires pulled off.

  8. Thanks guys. I thought it might work like that. I will give it a try.
  9. How difficult is it to replace the front seal in a EA-81 engine? The engine is out of the car. Thanks, Carl
  10. The $130 is for the carb with the label SUBARU in the corner of the photo and includes the Subaru adapter plate (shown in the lower right corner of the album & also labeled Subaru) plus the misc. air filter stuff. The intake manifold I'm selling separately for $50.00 - I put a lot of work into fabricating it. Hope this helps? Thanks.

  11. Is that $130.00 for the Carb listed as # 3 in the photos? Do you take paypal? What is the total shipped to ZIP. 65401?

    Thanks, cawain

  12. Hi, Carl here. Put your radiator in the front of the engine. I have mine in the back and It will start heating at about 65 mph. I have an extra fan that I can run all the time when it is too hot. If you are running 50 to 55 the automatic thermostate fan will hold the temp in check, but any faster and the temp comes up. The outside temp don't seem to have a great effect on the temp. I am sure what is happening is the air flow through the radiator and the air flow over and around the trike is creating a vacume at the rear of the trike and preventing the air flow through the radiator. I only run around 60 to 70 anyway so the extra cooling fan works well. I would also say I had a special radiator built with 4 cores and it made no difference. Some day I may change it and put the radiator in the front. when I build my next one I will put 2 goldwing radiators in the front on each side of the pass seat. Oh, And by the way, I really do enjoy my Vee DubAru. Just my 2bits worth. Hope it helps, Enjoy, Carl
  13. Well I guess I can tell you less than nothing. I would say it had a vacume fitting where the hole is. I think it is maybe part of the choke pulloff. I have a few old EA-81 motors sitting around that may have some of the wierd parts you are finding. If you need anything send me a picture and I will try to find it. If I have it, you can have it for the shipping. Carl
  14. Thanks again GD I passed it along. Hope he checks real close. If not he will be pulling it down again. Carl
