Came across these two, they were at the 'USDM Jam 9.0' this year over in Japan -

Anyone have more information on this EA81 and her owner?? Love this wagon! -
'tis indeed a Japanese muscle car....with the engines they were intended to have installed.... unlike the ones that we got on American shores.

After looking at some of the few lowering threads on here, and getting a look at Kristjan's sedan lowered on Civic sleeves, I started thinking along the lines of an air-ride system... Not the factory system, I'm looking at the aftermarket ones. As in the kind that lowriders, scrapers, stanced cars, whatever you want to call them use. I realize there are (of course) no off the shelf kits available, but I also in my so far limited knowledge do know that they are fitted to all manner of old rat-rods and trucks, even in one instance a system for a Honda Ruckus. So, any one with better knowledge know if it would be feasible on the L series? and yes, i can already see the coming lol

What is it that causes the bouncing, the crappy Civic rated springs that come with the kits, or the lack of travel in the strut cartridges? If it's the springs, Ground Control sells coilsprings in different lengths, diameters, and rates.

why did i move to florida? why did i move to florida? i'll never see snow again

I just peed. A little.

I can understand that; I can't find anything Subaru older than late 90's down here (not that I've driven to all the yards). But still...$200, and then shipping? If anyone really needed a wheel or three for an old Soob I would hope that they know of these forums; $20 + s/h per rim is reasonable for steelies.

Actually, we are both wrong.... It's 4x114.3 Common to most 4-lug Nissan's and Toyota's. And I should've remembered that from when I owned my '90 240SX, '87 200SX, and '80 Corolla SR.

This Rookie Needs Some Help..
SmashedGlass replied to PDXsubaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Crikey, that does look well preserved! I'd be interested to know if it has any hidden cancer myself. -
I'll second the 4x114.5 pattern. Options for wheels in that pattern are literally falling out of the sky, especially in 'old skool' style (both true vintage/rare jdm and re-pops). I'd love a set as I'm thinking of going opposite lifting, and slamming mine down, since I no longer have much use for d/r 4wd down here Worlds first Shakotan GL Wagon????

Since when is a set of 4 stock Sube steelies worth $200 friggin dollars??? http://orlando.craigslist.org/pts/3341813497.html I had to post this here as we all understand the relative value of the parts for Soobs from this era; this guy, apparently, does not. Granted, it's in Florida where there are far fewer of these around but I think his asking Price is rediculous.
-
Nico, your car is just amazing. I may have to do this to my wagon eventually, as I no longer have much use for D/R 4WD since moving to the flatness of Florida.

Lazy day (lazy month for that matter...). Finally got a start on completely cleaning and "sterilizing" the interior of the wagon, now that I have off-street parking (still no garage dammit) and a workshop with all the gadgetry I need. Began with the cargo area compartments. Everything under the lids and behind the plastic trim was covered in a layer of stuck on dust, down in the nooks and crannies was some mud, dog hair, bits and pieces of.... stuff. I'm hoping there aren't any dead animal bits when I dig deeper lol. Scraped, wiped, and used the bejeezus out of the new 1gal shop vac. Tomorrow I'm going to go ahead and strip all of the plastic out of the cargo area and finish the job, there's just too much dirt all up there.

Seriously considering this style for my wagon :-p http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/10/rust-bucket-wagovan/

ice, not coming TO Colorado; just left it after over eleven years living there. I now live in the flat and humid jungles of central Florida :/ The reasons for having bought the Soob are now pretty much moot but I'm still going to give it a lift kit and everything just to piss off the old folks down here.
