Here's a few pics of are buggie's

First roll over, Morris dropped over a bank and the rump roast end came up and over. Broke the radiator mount and ruined the top, but had it up and runnin in about ten minutes. Bumper damage was previous tree mishap, It didn't move.

I don't understand prerunner stuff, no experience with it, but I've built and drove dirt track cars and the simple well designed cars finish, and I think thats more important in the baja than anything. I think rear engine 2 wheel drive would be best because it would land better (easier on an inexperienced driver), and less drivetrain to break. Sounds fun you west coast guys have all the fun...............

Tube frame, full .095 cage with factory ea81 rear, mount a EJ22 and 2wheel drive five speed rear mount in the hatch. Sure the shifter would take some engineering but possible. Fab in that long arm buggie front control arms and steering. Last but not least skin a ea82 body and hang it on the cage. Gets your weight around 1800 pounds and best of all it's all subaru, well almost. Just my 2 cents...

Looks great, I think I found a justy.

I'm just jelous my motor looks like crap LOL

That shiny won't last past the first poker run... HA HA

Looking good. I looked up a front and rear and a D/R, the shifter pretty good shape. Maybe you can adapt the legacy shifter to the D/R. Don't know haven't looked at the legacy shifter yet.

Buggie looks great!!. Your gonna have a ball wheelin in an open buggie. We've had trouble with bending radius arms too, so we got the adjustable arms for a tractor with hime jounts from tractor supply (cheap). Works great and looks great. Remember to overkill alittle on the gussuts it's better to be safe than sorry, expecially when your the engineer. Have fun...

Alot more moving parts and geometry in front coils. Weld in a cross member and make some spring hangers done.

Were working on the next buggy now. Mostly planning stage I'm gonna have to pick your brain alittle on the ranger transfer and tranny. Were gonna try to use the floor pan, firewall and dash out of a legacy. Ej power plant but I'm worried about getting a disty wet in mud and such. Then tube the rest of it and hang a full body on it like we do a race car.

Looking for tube buggy pictures with subbie running gear

I'd ride that!!!! Built a racing mower once, scary couldn't keep it shiny side up. I could gear that enough to make it fun. -
cool tires.... We've popped the tires off the red and the black buggies, but only in deep mud holes. Seems to happen when the tire hits the side of a deep hole, never lost one other than that and we wheel these two buggies hard. We put ag tires on the orange buggie, does great up and over but not so good around the side of a hill thats why the other two got 4 wheeler tires. good luck hope you get to wheel soon....

Sorry for the slow response, computers been down again. It was a speed pit, about 6-12 inches of mud 50 feet long. They line you up at the pit entrance, give you the green light and the time starts when you move and trip the lazer at exit. Lots of fun but gets expensive at 20$ a pass.
