So I am researching how to keep my EA82T's and RX running cool. I know some of you do without the mechanical fan, and bolt up a EA81 a/c fan in it's place, and some go all out aftermarket. So I'd like to get a sense on what is best with my platform. Now I live up in the Rockies, and don't see extreme temps as of others, but I do want to be able to roadtrip anywhere! So let's post up what everyone is running, and at what temps! Also include what model thermostat, or if ya just yanked the thermo all together.

My x g/f's El Camino back glass exploded once after a decent from Pikes Peak. Scared the hell outta me, thought I was being shot at.

Once again, I searched, and searched, but found nothing. Anyone have a part # or a link for purchase? Just wanting to replace mine before it gets worse.

Yup I cruise mine around town in low range a lot. It is just easier to get her moving, and is just plain fun to zip around in the mountains!

So the previous owner had the wires tapped into, and didn't do the best job. Anyways, I swapped out the fan from my wagon due to loud fan noise on the original. And it was way to late at night when I did it, and I forgot what wire goes where. What I have are 6 wires. Two from radiator gauge, two from the harness, and two from the fan itself. Well I've tried a few combinations, but nothing seems to work. Fuse is fine. Vehicle is my 87 RX running a stock EA82T Thanks in advance for everyones help! I love USMB!

I had a cat try and jump on my hood of the WRX in my garage. Lil gal didn't think about the wax job, and ended up scratching my damn clearcoat right in front!! Oh yeah, and I dropped a leaded crystal jar on my hood. Not on purpose, we were stuffing something in the rafters, and didn't know it was there. Good thing it landed on the handle, and not the bottom!! Small dent ftw in that case. Sucks it is right above a support beam.....
