  1. ^^^^ I'm with him. Or find an STi without the cop magnet worthless wing.
  2. The 07 is fugly anyways. 04-05 was the last good looking STi. Ya know a nice WRX with a 6 speed, and some supporting mods can weigh in far cheaper on insurance than that of the STi, and be just as much fun to drive.
  3. Awesome thread. When my RX's clutch goes, I'll add pics of my project here. That way more EA series engines covered.
  4. Holy Christ on a cracker, A PINTO!!! I love those bombs on wheels. j/k
  5. The stock 04 macpherson struts on the wrx are terrible. Blew one with just 31K on the ticker on my 04. Stick with the later models if ya can. Just my $0.02 worth.
  6. Ya got an exact picture of this said hose, for us noobs of course. And what what hose to use for us EA82T fellas. Stuck some in the gas tank in the RX last night...and a spoonful of sugar in the oil. I considered playing with some of the intake hoses myself, but was unsure which would gain the most to all cylinders. And yes I'll be changing my oil I hope soon.
  7. Nice SVX. Still got the auto tranny? Welcome to the boards. You'll find a wealth of knowledge here, if ya ask the right questions.
  8. I like the stealth look as well.
  9. Right on man, thanks for all the detailed info. I shall be going with sealed bearings for sure.
  10. Agreed, put it to bed!! I have to make most orders for parts online. I live a half hour from teh closest parts store, which can suck. There is an auto-x this sunday, and a car meet the next! I might not get to it for a while. But agreed, just get it all over with, and get it done.
  11. Right on man, thanks, good to know. I just figured being the turbo is water cooled it would affect something. Sorry bout the bum link, but yeah I imputed 87 Subaru RX, and was led to the dual row rad, for something like $125 out the door, shipped.
  12. Sweet. Guess I'll be breaking the piggy bank! Will this one do, even though it is non-turbo?? I will go look again, and see if I can set the website for a turbo model....
  13. Hell yeah ya will!! I found bolt torque specs for the EA82T in my Chiltons manual. And yes there is a certain pattern ya follow.
  14. I believe it's the driver's side front. And it it ok strait, but on right turns, or hard right turns it speaks up. Being a broke bloke, I might just tear into it sunday, and repack the bastard! Thanks again for all the advice, sure is appreciated!!
  15. Yeah they are over 12MP now with SLR cameras, but who can afford it!! Hey don't forget smurf angles from a poorly lit parking garage!!
  16. That kid that bought Dylan's DSM wants my spare helmet...So I can afford your parts man!!! Do you take blood, or first born as collateral? If you need me to bring computer parts, lemme know man. Jeffast, dunno if we have ever met in person...Oh and no duct tape!! It's a little bit of black electrical tape, to fool ya into thinking it's the stock borders!!
  17. Yeah my RX also has the slap. But it's a mild case, hopefully remedied with a loud stereo!
  18. Bwahahahahaha!! Good one. I think this is a good idea. The more Subaru Enthusiasts the better IMHO!
  19. Oh man I hear ya. Cover-alls do even do much good!
  20. I know!!! I think he should drag us out a couple of 70 AMX's. I'll take the mightnight perl!! MMMM 390cid, 4 speed hurst lightning shifter, two seats of pure joy!! I gotta take a cold shower now, gas prices are way to high!!
  21. Man that is a virtual gold mine for real.
  22. ^^^ That sounds like a good idea. Over greasing would cause heat dissipation problems?
  23. Nipper, yes I wiggles, and got jiggy with it. Yeah I'm just going to run them till they MUST be replaced. I am also fairly sure the CV at the rear of the axle is worn out. I get a clunk'ish thud when gears are engaged. I forgot to check up on that whilst the rear was in the air. Oh well I got more time than money, so back up she goes!! I just hope I can stop "borrowing" parts from my wagon, and get it running before she is a bone shell in my yard. Thanks for all the input fellas. Mucho appreciated.
