  1. Rosetta Stone anyone? Welcome to the boards!!
  2. I just pushed in the lever, and slid the cable end out. No need to pull on the cable and mess it up. So I got it all done! Works good, and even better after a final bleed. Is there a tool that twists the caliper so ya can compress, or line up to the brake pads? I had to twist it a little bit so the rivet on the outside of the inside brake pad would line through, and allowing for the caliper to slide into place. Other than that, had it done in no time. Ran all the fluid out too!
  3. Yeah everything is in good condition, and all the rubber boots are there. I just sprayed some PB blaster on the sucker, and I'll give it a go in the morn. I'll keep everyone posted!! Thanks again for the responses everyone. USMB rocks.
  4. Yeah it's the E-brake cable, unless there is another. Yeah I had the e-brake off, and I tried to grab it with a pliers, but it wouldn't budge! I guess I'll just try using more force, or a vice grip to pull it off. I just didn't want to start trying to pull on it harder if that wasn't the way it's supposed to go. Darn Chilton wasn't much help for my year brakes. Seems it skipped that step. Thanks for the replies fellas.
  5. Vehicles: 88 GL wagon disk brakes all around. 87 RX disk brakes all around. I have a leaky front passenger caliper on my RX. Know I know it is probably easier to just rebuild the sucker, but I'd rather just swap out the one from the wagon first being the parts store is over 30 minutes away. Now I got the caliper off the assembly, but I can't figure out how to get the darn cables off for the swap. It's currently hanging down from the car. Do I remove the entire assembly from the caliper, or just release the cable somehow? Thanks in advance for the help.
  6. I'll trade ya a 67 Chevy C-10 for it!!! Was running before I took out the starter...
  7. There are three SVX's here in my little town of 1800. One was wrecked in front int he last storm. The white one has tranny issues, and the grey one is my mom's friend. And yes, I am one her will!!!!!!! Car has under 38K
  8. Yes!! I'm with Phil, it must have a turbo!
  9. Another twin for my RX!! Keep it stock till the engine goes, then swap a EJ something into her, and keep the dual range. These cars are just too much fun in the snow!!
  10. Sounds like it's possibly running lean (glowing up pipe) have ya checked the plug gap by chance? Just throwing that out there.
  11. ^^^ Another good idea. Just don't run it without them unhooked for too long, ya will burn internals up real quick.
  12. Intake has a leak if not carbed, or vacuum leak someplace. Make sure everythig is good and snug while you're in there.
  13. +1 Turn signals are kinda a must to be legal in the road.
