  1. Been doing a couple projects the last couple weekends. Installed the lights but havent wired them up yet. Worked on the passenger side valve cover today with my pit crew. Ive got to tell you, that thing was bad and has lead probally to most of the oil on the engine and surrounding areas. The passanger side is going to be more difficult because of the ac compressor is in the way. Wisconson might have the alliance but I have the Girls of Subaru. Even though im not quite sure why the car wont run for crap at this point, ill figure it out when mom comes home and i can take it for a drive. For your enjoyment.
  2. Just tried cleaning the MAF. It seemed to work good at 1st but then back to the same old. I did remove some vacume lines but i put them back. I dont notice any of them cracked. Right now im letting it run to see if that has any effect. It idles just fine but step on the gas and it flogs out until it dies.
  3. Ok so replaced the passenger side valve cover today which was a simple task. But now the car wont rev up. It will idle but that is it. Im almost positive i got all the vacume hoses hooked up correctly. I dont have the airbox hooked up like it was but that shouldnt matter should it. Any other thing i might of missed or need to check. Thanks in advance Ben
  4. I wanted to say, you car looked great and its sad it got wrecked. Hope you build another one.
  5. Good job tom, but one thing. Rear Disc Swap man, should be the very next thing you do.
  6. Would you possibly take 2500 without the spare motor and tranny. You shouldnt have a problem getting close to what you want selling those other 2 items if the motor is a turbo one.

  7. On second thought, maybe i dont want to buy a car whose previous owner was an idiot.
  8. Lets be honest, that door is an eyesore. You need the old beatup red one back on.
  9. Yes, these are ideas Crystal should use to make her car one color.
  10. the scotch bright is a great idea because i can do it in the car wash and they think nothing different then me just washing the car.
  11. Again, i dont have time to TRY anything. I need to know something that works, but i know you drive your car everyday and if it holds up then thats good for me. PM me on what you did please.
  12. As with all of my issues its time. The rollon type of paintjob has sounded time consumeing which is why i liked the idea but i didnt like the idea of having to sand the orange peal out of the paint. Unless you can tell me you did it another way.
  13. See the thing about me and camping anymore is, im not trusting my life to a piece of cloth, ill just sleep in my car whenever i go camping. Any s*** goes down say a bear or sasquatch im not letting that be up to a tent. A car keeps the bugs out more also. Just sayin.
  14. Nothing like good practice on a old beater. Hook up a log chain or a come along to a tree or a large secured pole and slowly pull the headlight valence out until its where it needs to be. It doesnt need to be perfect it just needs to be straight for the headlights. As far as paint goes, it looks like the roof is kinda cooked on the wagon, it definately looks lighter then the rest of the car so maybe a whole car could be painted. You can rattle can it, or roll it. Or you could get one of those wagner house painters and buy a gallon of dupli-color paint shop pro paint. Its everything you need in one can no mixing. The problem is that its not going to come out perfect but it will get the job done. Painting is all in the prep, and since your not driveing it every day thats a plus. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SHW-BSP200/
  15. This is what i suggest you do. I really liked this look when i had the stock 13s on. Clean up those wagon wheels and paint them black. Then get a nice set of centercaps and a generic set of 13inch chrome trim rings. It looked really good, sadly it was the only really good looking thing on the car. But i think your loyale would look sweet with this setup. If i still had it i would send it to you but i sold it all with the wheels. Oh make sure to get ya some chrome lugnuts of you go this route.
  16. Why arent you spiffin up the wagon wheels that are already on it. Nice looking project. Hope its a 5 speed.
  17. I ran into this problem on my wagon. I got every center cap to fit except one on the rear drum. I just ran without it but a couple years latter i did a rear disc swap and investigated further. Turns out at some point in its life one drum was replaced and the other one wasn't. The metal lip on the aftermarket one was larger then the factory one which prevented the plastic ring from fastening on the wheel. This might be your problem so measure the lip of your drum vs the lip of the plastic ring and that might show you where your at. Oh an my car was an 88 wagon with the correct wagon wheels for the era.
  18. Remember you bought the impreza to keep miles and rust off of LB and other vehicles. It stinks to do that but i bet even with that many miles its still dam reliable.
  19. If it is a drain hose, why did they make it so big.
  20. Salt is not used for traction but for ice. Ice gets bad in these regions of the states and it is probally one of the better ways to combat it. Sometimes with the melt and refreeze it gets pretty bad around here as well. As to an alternative other then sand which just gives you traction i dont know what else you would do.
  21. I would be interested in the alliance sounding a car for me. If that brighton was worth the trip i would pay for the car plus what it cost to sound it.
  22. How did that brighton ever turn out, How much is miles wanting for it.
