  1. No kidding, like i said. Its a trailer queen now.
  2. Sh*t tom that was only 50 bucks. Im headed there now.
  3. Your loyale is a trailer queen. I want to see you get it nice and dirty.
  4. Honestly ill probally stick with the subaru but im just saying. Maybe i can sell my taurus and use the k5 as a daily driver. Im sure the kids would love rideing in the back of that.
  5. True but your starting with more capable out of the box. Maybe my engine is sick which im sure it is. But the point ive always had with these subarus. You work so hard for what boils to down to so little. And thats not a bash or anything on your guys awsome rigs. But when you go into major modifications only to be able to go 35inch tires max. Thats considered baseline in alot of offroading areas. So thats kinda where im at. I like my car, ive worked hard to what it is now. It can be better but ive seem some people say screw it im not putting that much into something thats going to blow cv shafts everytime i get it at an extreme angle. And if you go that big you need more power to turn that stuff. I duno, ill probally keep it but its just the thought. Id really like to do some more offroading because it was fun when i went, id like to do that again hint hint.
  6. Yea i can see what your saying GD. I wouldnt run tires larger then 35 inch. Its just that also, ever since i lifted my subaru just 2 inch and put the tires on it handles totally different. The motor in it is so doggy because of this its kinda of a pain to drive. Which wants me to ej it, and if i do that i might as well put the dual range in it then. Which all takes time and money, or i could get a larger stock rig with a motor i can work on easier then the subaru motor. Some place i can go anywhere and get parts for. Ive only hit the cusp of the off road thing. I had a 91 suburban once and that was a blast to drive but the mpg was a joke. I dont know just sittin around thinkin about this stuff.
  7. Heres why. I dont drive it anymore, and i hate having things just sit around. Its a good offroader but not the greatest to maximize its potential. I have the opportunity to trade it in for a k5 blazer. Though i love my subaru the opportunity to have a offroader with 31inch tires standard and solid axels is pretty tempting. Its one of those one or the other things. I like how my car is unique but in order to make it better i need to install the dual range tranny and solidify the rear end. I probally need more lift also but again i just dont know. Just curious as to what you folks think.
  8. Oh yea and up late. I get awakened every once in a while buy some kids lookin to cram into me and the wifes bed.

  9. Hit 117 degrees today that was fun. My wife has been in the hospital lately but not from mental illness but from some type of lung infection. Ive been outa work for a week and a half. Shes all better now but i know there super pissed at me at work so im having some trouble thinking what there going to say to me.

  10. Agreed. Rule number one. You dont sell a rare rust free subaru. You could always put a subaru wrx drivetrain in it and have something outrageously unique.
  11. If this is at all real. You have a unmolested, original convertable. They didnt make many convertables and hardly any are in that good of condition. Tell your husband with all due respect he is an idiot and you need to keep the rare classic car.
  12. I find it more interesting is that since my computer crashed. My only pics are up on the USMB. So they would of had to come onto the websight to find them to post them.
  13. http://tricities.craigslist.org/cto/1827689046.html I didnt know i lived in TN either.
  14. You know, when i saw this add on craigslist i thought it was a joke. Clearly it was not. Nice fine brent. Dont know why you want to do all that stuff. Just fix the front and drive the sucker man. With the ground clearance youll get you wont need a plow. You can clear the snow in your driveway just fine. U thinkin of taking the brat back to stock.
  15. Listen, your preaching to the chior here. We know what your talking about. Most of the people on here did just what you did. Hell i did it to. I figured, ill never drop a dime in this turd. And you know what, my brother never droped a dime in it for 2 years and he got it for free. I put 1500 bucks or so into mine before i retired it to (offroad use) over the course of 4 years. And i didnt even need to do that stuff, it was just stuff i felt it needed at the time. Hell i just changed the oil for the 2nd time in 4 years time. Its the simplicity of it is what gets you. How something so unloved can be loved. Anyways like its been said, if you replace the timeing belts your good to go. I have a commuter car now but i still wish i drove the little wagon. If youve got a 4wd youll love it even more. The most unstopable all weather car you can get for hardly any money. Heres mine. What it started out as. What it is today.
  16. Well i work late but my wife has been in the hospital again lately with really bad lung infections. Shes ok but its really stunk this past few days. I haven't gone to work all week. And frankly i don't even know if theres going to be a job waiting for me.
  17. Right, but then you got a legacy. With a quote unquote better engine and more reliable auto tranny. I thought you would of gone all out with your loyale then and kept your legacy a DD. Something the cops aren't going to look at again. and again. I'm not trying to put you down tom, to each there own. I'm just saying with most of the cars i have look not even half as nice as your legacy did before you painted it.
  18. I guess i like what you did, but i try to leave daily drivers somewhat incognito. I thought thats what you had but to each there own i guess.
  19. Nice new project mick. I think your bike will get together faster then mine will.
  20. Ok so the economy is bad, and i dont have alot of free money now. The problem is that my 2005 Dodge Caravan is starting to have transmission problems. Nothing to bad but its starting to clunk into gear pretty good. I dont have a spare 3 grand to replace the transmission if it goes. So, i was thinking about tradeing it in on something else but when dodge went down the crapper so did my vans value. Now i would be upside down pretty good if i tried to do this but for me it would be worth it as long as the vehicle i was getting lasted me for the next 10 years and i didnt need to worry about the drivetrain. Here inlies the problem. Would you guys hang on to the one i have which i have 3 years to pay on still. Or get something else for another 6 to maybe even 7 years worth of payments. I know it sounds crazy but i just want 1 vehicle i dont need to worry about to much. I thought the van was it but that dodge transmission finally bit me in the butt. Any ideas would be great. Thanks Ben
