  1. Another bump, Bank approved going for a test drive in a couple days. Well see how it goes
  2. I guess those wanting or wishing to go who couldnt before think of alternative dates you think you would be available. Though as you know it gets way sticky hot here in july and august months. Plus take into account that we have the Iowa State Fair in August as well. Which if you dont go every year its pretty neat to take in. And also school starts up again for the kiddies so take that into account as well.
  3. Bump, talking to the bank tomorrow and if it goes well well go from there. No rust and just a dent on the hatch and quarter which is easy to fix. Nice leather and no sunroof. All the other bells and whisles though. I really liked driveing my brothers 98 legacy gt so this would be a nice pickup for me.
  4. Just talked to the guy. He says he needs a pickup so he has no need for the car. New HGs, Clutch, Timeing Belts and Water Pump 20k ago. He has recepts from ramsey when they went through the whole engine. This is sounding very very good.
  5. Aww B that would of been perfect but i dont have the cash on me now. And i honestly dont know if i can replace the HGs my self in a parking lot. Buy chance did you get the miles or rust condition.
  6. This makes me think of the Legacy GT my brother just got rid of. When Ramsey (UGH) Subaru did a check on it it still had the original HGs at 150k and showed no signes of leaking. But the subaru mechanic still recomended replaceing it if he had to do a clutch anyway. Just a precautionary method. He was like, i would need to pull the motor to get at the clutch so might as well replace that while its out. Kinda in a tough spot because no one is gonna loan me money to buy a 94 or older legacy and these ones do tend to have a bit of problems. Otherwise id half to venture outside the subaru family.
  7. Just curious if you guys think this is worth it. I havent called them but price seems good and it is a 5 speed with leather so thats cool. Would need to get a loan but my taurus is kinda a crap box and im tired of it. http://desmoines.craigslist.org/cto/1766837310.html
  8. U know they make something somewhat similar for the ea82s. Im wondering how this is gonna sound.
  9. Ok well its settled then, the iowa campout is dead. Lets try to rev it up in a couple more months guys. Maybe most of you can clear your schedule buy then.....
  10. Save some bucks up because im working on a deal to get about 5 to 8 west coast subys to the midwest.
  11. Thanks and sorry for not being more clear. Though lots of people on here know me its always good to post your cars info. Its a 1988 Subaru DL Fuel Injected. When i do drive it it doesnt present itself that problem when going up hill. Only when starting off in 1st and 2nd gear reallly. I havent been able to check codes because one of the Previous owners disconnected the check engine light. But to be honest with 210000 on the clock i wouldnt doubt the o2 sensor is due.
  12. Fired up the old soob (ea82) the other day and let it idle for a bit. Thought id give the peddle a few kicks before turnin it off and it stumbled for a couple seconds when floored. I tried this over and over again and it did it every time. I floor it, it boggs down for 2 or 3 seconds then takes off. What could be the cause of this. Most tuneup stuff has been done.
  13. Heres a pic of 2 1978 Yamaha Sr500s we are restoring. We also have another bike in storage and are going to pick up yet another one makeing it a total of 4 sr500s. My friend is restoring his but mine im makeing into a cafe racer type.
  14. Just so you know tom, painting the inside of a car hirts the re sale ability.
  15. That stinks but will do brent. Looks like its just me, mick, indy, my brother and maybe dennis if he graces us with his presence.
  16. EA82t s are a flawed buy design. Most of the time when people get them theyve been run into the ground. But i believe you have something different. One that has been maintained its whole life. I say dont lift it man but if it doesnt already have it. Throw the 5 lug on there and make it a canyon carver with updated swaybars and bushings.
  17. I find this comment funny tom because i believe this is only the 2nd car youve ever owned.
  18. No because im a lazy a**. Im sorry i need to get on that. Proballyl a billion dollars.
