  1. Still Hanging Around 1988 Subaru DL AKA Guido 27inch BF Mud Terrains on 14inch Peugeot Wheels 2inch Boss Lift ea81 with Weber Conversion Rear Disc Conversion Single Range to Dual Range Conversion
  2. After almost a year of abuse it still runs and drives down the road just perfect. I dont know if ill ever get to the wheel bearings.
  3. Thats a good point, and i think youve gone to far to go back now lol. But remember everything your not having to deal with.
  4. Seriously where did he get those wheel arches and what is the size of those tires.
  5. So the time has come where i feel that i love my car enough to not kick the s**t out of it anymore. Id like to remove the lift and put street tires back on the pugs. Would 225 60 14s fit the stock wheel height.
  6. Its sad this much work needs to be done to do somewhat simple things. Ill re evaluate.
  7. On a side note, ive switched from ea82 to ea81 so i figured if i went ej id probally be starting from scratch with the wireing anyways. Could i retain the entire impreza harness in the loyale.
  8. I was going to switch over to the 5 lug as well. Since i have the whole car.
  9. So, im toying with the idea of switching my car from 4wd to an AWD drivetrain. I have got my hands on a 99 subaru impreza with the 2.2. I was wondering how much of this can i use on my current 88 subaru dl. I was wanting to swap over the entire thing and i dont remember if anyone has done this before. Ben p.s. i have tried looking it up but havent had much luck.
  10. The question was would it level out the front more.
  11. Another little problem is 14 inch tires are getting hard to find also.
  12. Just a shot in the dark. Could you put a 1 inch tubeing under the engine mounts to lower the cross member.
  13. You need 6 to lower the cross member i thought you only needed 2 to lower the engine cross member.
  14. Its in running and driving form now. Exhaust has been buttoned up, working on getting it in the wheel bearings taken care of.
  15. So in theory i should be able to use the 1 spade connector adn just hook that side up to the gauge. And i looked, there isnt another hole, or any other types of wires coming out of that area.
  16. So i have a 1988 subaru that recently had a ea81 swap with a weber setup. Everything works fine except the temp gauge. I picked up another coolant temp sensor to see if that might work but its a 1 prong and the one in the manifold is 2 prong. Im not sure the year of the manifold but i think its 85. I have a 87 Factory Service Manual and the manofold in the car for SPFI and Carb are not the one that is on the car. 1. Am i missing another sensor somewhere. The 2 prong is right next to the T-Stat housing. 2. Could i use the 1 prong anyway with the 2 prong connector. 3. I thought the 2 prong was for the computer and there was a 1 prong somewhere that just did the gauge.
  17. Yea, i hardly come here anymore man. The sight has really changed, you just dont see as many old school subarus anymore. The 1st generation Outbacks and Imprezas are the new old school subarus.
