LOL, maybe but i think i need to get it running right before i start trying to look like a boss.

Sold guidos old engine and trans today. Threw away some other junk and garbage i had lying around in the car. I also started cleaning off the old pinstripe to prepair to paint the car. I identified on what mick was talking about with the exhaust. Yea its going to need a new y pipe. Oh and i discovered the new ea81 has a pretty messed up oil pan. It got crushed pretty good at some point. Can you change these out while the motor is in the car.

Maybe livingstons on the southside. Alot of those places are about to get busy with hobby stock engines but you never know.

Stealing this idea, good work.

Problem is i cant take the rear suspension off to attack the rusty areas.

I think i might try some of that on my car and my wifes van. 05 and its rusting pretty bad already.

Whats the process you are using to clean up the rust and then por15. Im finding im needing to do this on a couple of vehicles.

I finally brought mine home.

I have had this lift on for 2 years now and has been nothing but perfect. But a question i would post is that would you offer a 1 or possibly 2 inch engine crossmember and rear diff drop. With the 2 inch lift the axels are alittle stressed and it might extend the life of the cv shafts more if you put a 1 or 2 inch lift in those areas.

Its interesting this statement came up because i think my wife needs to re read it again after McBrat brought my subaru back to life. She was wondering why Mrs McBrat wouldnt go out and sabotage said subaru. I think the correct answer is either shes given up the fight or she was just happy to get more subaru parts and one more old subaru out the door.

Breaking traction and lifting the front end up. I couldnt even keep it on the road, it kept wandering twards the dirt. I had to calm him down, not yet. Need to put it back together alittle more. I can definately hear that wheel bearing now. Lots of stuff to go through and throw away. Needs the exhaust looked at and gone through, probally need to pick up a new y pipe. Didnt you say mick a ea82 one will work.

So i guess to kind of sum up this thread. We dont really have any idea on what was wrong. It does run and drive but not with the original engine. Basically we just chocked it up to an electrial gremlin which 6 people could not track down. Id like to thank subymech85, mcbrat, bheinen, and a few others on here who tried to help me track down the problems. I owe most of you more then the vehicle is worth.

Finally got home. Does the ea81 weigh less then the ea82 because i was breaking traction alot. McBrat is to kind, there are alot more new parts on this thing then i was made aware of.

You dont still happen to have the ac compresser do you.

Youll half to show me what your talking about with the exhaust. I posted a message to the goat so hopefully we can get that out of there. If now we can always put it in guido and he can pick it up in des moines. Have you drivein it at all, make sure shes sea worthy captin.

LOL the last time the exhaust was mounted just enough it almost killed someone.

Stock ea81 or would a ea82 work.
