Of all this brent this makes the least sence. Im not throwing a code. It is running far worse then it was before the trip but im not throwing a code. In all seriousness is the DL that stripped down they wouldnt have a CEL. I can try to check for codes but who knows. Ive already cleaned out the maf and ill be replacing the filter and pcv valve today. Its still idleing higher which blows my mind. I have no idea what could be causeing that. -

Found some other interesting possible culprets. Pulled the airbox off. Found a wet and dirty air filter. Took it off and looked at a dirty maf. There was definately some muddy water in here at one point. Im leaving the air filter out until i can pick up a new one in the morning and i cleaned out the maf but doesnt seem to of cleaned out to many problems. Looked into the throttle body and it looks clean. -
I think im going to put the rear discs on my car this weekend but im debating on replaceing the clips. They are rusty, but the pads seem ok. What do i need to tell the parts guy when im asking for these since its obvious my car didnt come with rear discs. Maybe ill replace the pads but the ones that came with the set are just fine. Ben

Need more light (headlights)

I have silverstar glass lights on my dl and think they work great. Ive had this discussion about the nighthawks on the dodge caravan forum. They tell me that with that light system the nighthawks are better. I havent tried this yet but i will let the forum know my results. Im 2 years into the silverstar sealed beams and they work great. I used them every day since i drive home in the dark. -
I have limited time behind the ea81 engine in brents Brat but that seems like a fine engine. The ea82 i duno. Definately lacking in power but i think its ok. Seems to do the job and lots of people get over 250k out of them. So they can be all bad now can they.

Sorry its spfi but its not dieseling. If you turn it off before this it would just shut off nice and smooth, but now its rough. Like it wants to diesel but just shuts off rough. It doesnt keep running though. -
I just noticed this today. I used to turn it off, fine like normal. Now it shuts off hard and shakes the whole car when it does. The 1st time it did this i started it back up and taped the gas and it backfired real bad. But didnt do it like that again but revin it up a couple times i can hear it backfireing through the exhaust. Its been exceptionally humid around here lately but i dont know if that a probabble reason. 1988 subaru DL buy the way. The overall running of it has been poor lately. Seems i need to really give it a kick to get it to move. Whats a possible problem i could search for. Ben

I did that to the trim. My plan is to fill in the holes and just have the trim in the middle of the car. Im not feelin the alloys either. Seems 14 inch wheels only look good with 27inch mud tires on them. When i finish up the other 2 wheels ill take some more pictures and have a better debate.
