I wanted to see pics of it being pulling from its doom. I love rescue storys. -
Having worked on carbed vehicles and Fuel Injected ones i would say that carbed is simpler but you cant bet the ease of FI. Ive heard lots of problems from these carbs for subarus not being jetted or adjusted right. SPFI is kinda plug and play. Sure youve got the added hastle of ecu and whatnot. Butt they seem to run better and you can get verticle offroad and not have the bowl flood.

One of the few things holding me back from this is the wireing. Man looks like a rats nest.

How old is indie, my eldest is 3. Would your wife go so if mine went she woudl have someone to talk to. Im not sure if she woudl be up to bringing the 2 1 year olds along though. She did enjoy camping the last time we went and im sure she would like to meet you guys. Just so she can figure out what the big deal is lol. -
If i were you i would definately go with the 15s. I do like how those pugs look on that butt i can see the offset being a problem. If you were to widen both front and rear wheel wells again, how would that look. Would the front stick out further then the front. With those 15inch weels, wide wells, and a low stance that would look sick. Buy what year and model is that white subaru with the 15inch pugs anyways.

'78 Brat. Pics after a bit of cleaning....
The Dude Abides replied to mcbrat's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I was in the neighborhood yesterday so i thought id stop buy and see said brat. I knocked but you werent home so i took a quick peek then took off. Ive never seen one up close before, its alot neater then i thought. Looks pretty clean, though shell need a fender. Would look good with a 3 inch or so lift and your old brat ss. Paint the wheels black though. -
Nice, but we need to talk about your wash and wax problem.

Did you let the gas sit in there all summer or did you run it. Possibly you might have some varnishing but i dont knw if that woudl happen from 1 year of sitting. When i had a car in storage (backyard:grin:) i started it once a month for 4 months and let it run 20 minutes each time. Was always good to me.

I think the offset is different with pugs anyway, they seem to stick out about 1/2 inch more then the factory wheels do. This is my first time seeing this thread. I think the 15 pugs look good but yea sit to wide. Heres a question. Have you considered widening the wheel wells. Since your going lower and for a unique look i think it would enhance the stance of your ride. I believe they use fiberglass but it would be alot of custom work. Might be cool to see. Nice project buy the way. Ben

Is there an easier way to do it. When i try to remove the upper panel i busted all the tabs off. Am i going to be able to put this back without replaceing the tabs.
