  1. I think the idea is that he doesnt want to work on it in 2 ft of snow on the side of the road. And he wasnt saying he wants to salvage the car, just what he needs to take off of parts cars in the junkyard. How car are you form home. Cant they just hook it up to one wheel and whats left of the front suspension. When i wrecked my wifes minivan this last winter:rolleyes: they drug that sob up on the flatbed and it had the wheel riped clean off.
  2. You could go down to your local farm store and get one of those turbo heaters. Propane powered. They have other heaters not so intence you can get as well. Check it out.
  3. The last time we had a massive freeze spell my thermastat froze up and now its sticking. Ive developed a massive oil leak from somewhere on the left side of the engine, im thinking valve cover. My coolant leak has gotten progressively worse. So now guido resides inside my rented garage with a blanket over his motor to help keep him warm.
  4. I dotn know what type of situation you live at but when my car broke down the tow truck driver put that car off the flatbed right into my garage.
  5. oh and thats a good ole restoration project.
  6. I think we scared him off. I mean seriously who leaves a soldier behind. Someone in washington find this jokers car and save it for me. Ill make sure it gets to a proper home.
  7. better put in the garage and get some type of heat going. Dont want it being a snow soob for 2 long.
  8. I guess im just curious as to what are up to with this new (engine)
  9. People like the ej22 swap but its a pita for wireing. So unless your good a that then your screwed. That is the route id like to go but hence the wireing.
  10. ill give you my parts wagon but youve got to come to iowa to get it, and youve got to give me something in trade.
  11. I find it hard to believe that you cant get it out. Im not saying your friends polaris isnt tough but there are other suby guys, jeep guys, chevy truck guys. Unless the thing fell down a cravass and tumbled down the side of a 500ft cliff. As guys who break down at moab if they leave there stuff there. Im sorry but if that were my car it wouldnt be there for very long. I dont like dumping things in the woods and i dont like giving all i can. You are a few post deep so i dont think you have a lift or anything so there are people that can get to where you are and pull you out. Get in touch with a local 4x4 club and im sure they would help.
  12. You better be a scammer because we dont just leave sh*t in the woods, unless your a bear. Grow a pair and get the thing out. Jesus, call other buddies, get someone on here, have a tow truck do it. My god man thats your freekin car.
  13. See thats my point, youve got the right rear pushing and the left front pulling. Makes it hard to do any type of drifting and donughts.
  14. Like i said, im having trouble getting it to break loose in ice or snow. Do you find your tires get chewed up with that welded diff.
  15. You know i find my subaru doing the same thing. I dont even think its underpowered. Show me someone doing that with a lsd rear end and well see if they cant whip the rump roast around.
  16. Guido is nice and cozy with a blanket on the engine sitting in the garage.
  17. y didnt you drag it home, i thought youy said it was right down your street
  18. If you know the plow guy couldnt he just hook up to his truck and yank you outl.
  19. DOH well good luck with that man. I hear its bitter cold now and will be even worse tonight. I asked my brother if i could borrow his jeep. Not saying that my subaru doesnt have enough power, just his wrangler has more torque.
  20. Where are you man. How far away. And how tosted is the clutch, can you use any power to get the thing out. It would be nice if i used mine or your car but that might not be enough.
  21. Id brave it for hero recignition and Guidos rise into infamy
  22. Awww the griz lives on. I was going to drive down to missura to pick it up but ran into trouble when that happened. Lots of history that car has on here. I think you made just about every old timer on here grin when you said this car is red and has mountain grizzly written on it. Lots of upgrades done to that car and again if your wanting to get rid of it, i dont think youll have to many people turning you down. Me included.
