I am not sure what the FSM is like for an XT6 but I am looking for a guide or diagrams (hopefully only a couple of pages) on how to hook up factory fog lights. Thanks!

That would say "Touring Wagon" Good stuff - good to see an older car in such great condition!

What is this thing? Early EA82 MPFI "Leone"
fangster replied to GeneralDisorder's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Leones in Australia usually have "Leone" down both sides. Australian 4WD wagons just say "Subaru 4WD" on that rubber. -
Here are mine on my Aussie EA82. They are called Flexi-Flares. Click Here

Did any subes come with headlight washers?
fangster replied to Jack in Norfolk's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hmmm I must be looking in the wrong places - I have never seen them. That's not to say we don't have them. Not much of a call for them in Australia. -
Add cargo light to Loyale wagon?
fangster replied to msteel's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The wiring wasn't there in my Australian DL EA82. I just ran some wires to the centre interior light. The cargo light and centre light turn on whenever a door is open. The good news is that there is a hole for it - and the screw holes are all there. You will have to do some careful cutting in your hood lining. Mine worked out well. Incidentally can anyone tell me if the front interior spotlights (in front of the rear view mirror) are supposed to turn on when the doors open? Or are they strictly a "switch only" affair? -
85 Automatic 4x4 question
fangster replied to Scott in Bellingham's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If it is a normal 3 speed Auto - I think you will find there is no centre diff. When in 4WD, whatever the front wheels do, the rear does the same. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but thats how I understand it. -
I agree with the idle circuit diagnosis. I am usnure if Hitachis have a primary idle jet (I ripped it off and put a Weber on mine as soon as I got it!) - but that could be blocked.

I have found at junk yard.....

I dont think you will find much very useful off a Legacy - unless you plan to convert to an EJ motor. Most of the running gear and interior is different. -
Looking for a Switch
fangster replied to SyntheticBlinkerFluid's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I believe this one is out of an XT - I am going to to try and put it in my EA82. Other than that you could use a rear fog light switch that goes into the angled buttons with the rear demister. I could not find one though -
Interior/console question
fangster replied to WagonsOnly's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I agree with SubaruSytles - I have just procured a tan hi-rise console from the US. I am going to get the paint matched and paint it blue. I know your pain - I was trying to get similar parts. It's worse when you are in Australia. I have found someone good enough to send me the parts I require. In lieu, im sending HIM parts he can't get in the US. -
93 Loyale Speedometer Cluster
fangster replied to RONAN's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I am with Gannon on the difficulty stakes - thankfully Mr Subaru put most of the info on the PCB. If you have a tacho already it might not be so painful. You can still run your idiot light sender - but u will need an additional gague type sender. I think it goes into the oil pump - there should be a blanking plug in there now. -
93 Loyale Speedometer Cluster
fangster replied to RONAN's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Does your Loyale have a tacho now? My Australian 91 EA82 had a DL cluster (without tacho) and I installed the model with tach/volts/oil pressure. This changeover was a sod of a job - The plugs were not the same - had to match a heap of wires together. If you have a tacho already it might be not so bad - and the plugs might at least match. You will have to install an oil pressure sender for the gague too. -
I agree with that - its good to see a nice, lifted rig. Those wheels suit the car too. Good stuff!

LOL nope - no cheaper. I dont think Mike (owner) is making them at the moment. His webpage is http://www.scorpionsubaru.com/ - but if you want to contact him - your best bet is via phone. -

Just confirms we are ALL right -
Not bad Phizinza - still need an LSD though Why was it running on 3? Loose lead? Nice area to run a Subaru - thats in South Australia? - judging by your plates?

Don't be shy Cristian - put a few pictures or links of your car up. Always good to see different Subes in different countries!

This fellow in Australia is in the process of making Liberty (Legacy - whatever floats your boat) hubs fit onto L Series (EA82) http://www.ausubaru.com/main/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=593&highlight=hubs

No L Series (EA82) coupes were brought in by Subaru Australia. I have seen a few imported efforts here - but never an RX. There was an L Series coupe (but not RX) for sale on the AUSubaru board a while ago - I am unsure if it sold. I would love one myself too. I think your best bet might be to import one from New Zealand - if you can't find one here.

I think you are refrerring to "MV". I have seen this designation used in the UK for Brumbies. It's possible MV referred to early Brumby and MY to later Brumby - I am unsure. Correct - Brumbies are wild horses. They are in Australia anyways. I agree - I think Brumby is a better name. A curious name.. "Brat" - Wonder what the reasoning is behind it. Having said that I prefer "Legacy" to Australia's "Liberty". -

I've seen some real cool decals for the Brumby here in Australia - they'd definately be a custom job nowadays
