I know this message is a long shot but I think I need to give it a try. While searching through this forum, I came across your 2007 "Oil leak onto exhaust" thread. I'm having the same problem with my '97 Legacy. Everything is fine with my car except that unbearable fume from oil leaking onto exhaust pipe. In your posting, it mentioned there were pictures of that sheet metal pan you made. It's not there anymore. Do you still have those pictures? If you do, can I bother you email them to me? It's way too expensive to pull engine out just to fix leaks. I will probably break something else in the process. I think your invention is a good idea. Worth a try. Thanks much.
