Thanks for the info. do you know if the front hubs of a loyale fit the back axle shafts .I have no problem in making brackets to mount the caliper.I have done some chevy disc brake on ford rear end for street rods in the past.

hey guy's . I have a 94 loyale wagon 4 wheel drive that I turned into a Brat and swapped the motor to a 2.2. my rear brake drums are worn out and new drums are 167.00 each .can I swap rear brakes from a 92 legacy. as there are some legacy's at my local auto wreckers no loyales.please help.thanks

anyone figure this out yet. I have 2.2 from a 1995 leg auto that I put in my loyale standard trans. I wired the wire from pin 78 to the starter relay but that did not work,so I dissconnected it and checked for voltage .there is 4.75 volts on that wire.left it dissconnected and the lite stayed off for about 4 days.went to start it today and the motor backfired and then started and the lite came on .I will try and put a wire in pin 50 and ground it and see what happens.

found the post I was looking for .

I just changed my engine from the 1.8 1994 loyale to a 2.2 from a 1995 legacy. it runs great but the check engine lite is on . the code is 105 the bar pressure circuit.the car I got the 2.2 was a auto trans. mine is a 5 speed standard.I did see a thread on this but I can not find it now that I need it .I did a search in everything on here. there was talk that the wire from pin 78 on the ecm had to go somewhere else for the standard trans .please help !!

1995 legacy.EJ2.2 I see where the wires go to ,but it would be easier if you know the pin out on the MPFT CU.

does anyone know the configuation of the main plug to the MPFI control unit . the wiring diagrams(Mitchell) that I can find show the main connector to the unit in two rows. one row is numbered 1 to 48 and the other row is 49 to 96. the mpfi cu has two sides with 4 rows of pins each . in the service manual I d/l from the site I can see that the pins are lettered A,B,C,D ,but which is A ,B,C,D on the unit. I would like to know how Subaru numbered the pins, would be much easier to figure out the wiring from the control unit. Thanks

NO . The motor I got is from a 95 legacy that had a auto trans. just that the end of the crank confussed me the way subaru made the end of the crank, most engines I have worked on (none subaru )there is a bushing or bearing in the end of the crank for the pilot shaft,if you are working on one with a stanard trans.
-
ok thanks .so it does not matter if it was auto or standard trans . just have to get the wiring harness from the wreckers and I am ready to start the swap.

ok guys got my adapter plate on the way,I think. got a new clutch kit for the xt6.purchased a ej 2.2 from a 1995 legacy.but it was an auto trans and the small bearing that came in the clutch kit will not fit in the end of the crank. do I have to get a bushing for the crank??

Thanks for the info . I am in CANADA I don't think we have a Rock auto up here. the shipping and the border thing is a hassle.

so what you are saying is to use the xt6 pres. plate ,disc and t/o bearing from a xt6.this will all work. I want to buy new not remanufactered. in the write up I think it says something like use a bearing from a nissan truck ?.
