  1. You forgot to mention the "Custom Made" number plate holder...
  2. The best way Brian is pull that auto tranny and put in a 6 speed... hehe Sorry mate, had to be done but seriously it is really easy to move the TC with your finger, so line up 1 of the 4 flex plate holes with the centre of the inspection hole by turning the front crank pulley (making sure only to turn the engine in the normal direction), then just put your finger in the large gap in the flex plate and turn the TC until it lines up, you may need to have a good light to see in the hole. Please just be carefull that the battery is disconnected and the keys are not in the ignition. Once you have the first bolt in place, don't tighten it up all the way, just hand tight, so you can get all the others aligned. Once you have all of them in (4), go ahead and tighten them up nice and firm. Also a nother point to remember is try and put the bolts in with a telescopic magnet, as you really dont want to drop any of im the bell housing and have to pull the motor out again.
  3. Hey Brian... From what I recall (as I'm at work atm till he 13th of March) when you are looking at the mounts, while you have your head under the car and lying on your back, the mounting bracket sticks out longer as it points forward and on the mount there is a support tab (that stops the mount from tearing the rubber section appart) this should be point out towards the chassis rails. The mounting bracket should have a L or R marked on it, this should be looked at as if you are in the drivers position (looking forward). Which meens in your country (LHD) the L bracket will be on the drivers side. I have found in the past to try and put one side (the threaded section) of the mount in the slotted hole, then lower the engine just until the other side touches the cross member, then with a pry or flat bladed screwdriver (fairly long for leverage) move the rubber section of the mount so the thread pops into the slotted hole. Hope this helps
  4. I'm REALLY sorry peoples... The place that used to have them, had a clean-up 6 months ago and they have thrown them out!! I couldn't believe that this place would have done this?? as this bloke would hold just about anything if he know he would make $5 from it I will keep an eye out for them and I will let you all know on any developments. Once again I'm sorry that I couldn't help this time...
  5. Sorry... no can do!! But unless you want to make an offer I can't refuse
  6. NP... Big Slab of Crownies now your making me thirsty
  7. Mine looks the same... just the trip computer on the left instead. We had both analogue and digital dashes here in Oz and like you said, Digi Crap they are just as useless down under and most Subi owners opt to change to analogue.
  8. Added some pics but yet to find details in my manual regarding the controls Will look in some other books tomorrow...
  9. I'm going in tomorrow... The first place thinks he may have some somewhere and he said for me to come in and get as may as I like for a carton of BEER !! Lets just pray he has some !!
  10. All the ones I've seen don't have the nuts in the body but I have converted a 2WD using this attached method http://www.aboveboardelectronics.com/Avdel/blind/nutsert.htm Lots of work but if you want it... anything is possible
  11. The 2 places that I used to see them at, are looking into these lights for me... lets keep all fingers and toes crossed.
  12. Sorry GD, looks great and I love the short shifter bit ... I did look first but I must have had too many Crown and 7's
  13. Nice work Skip I think you should post this piece of ingenuity in the USRM section...
  14. I come back cause you guys are GREAT !! I like they way people can help each other all over the world... I can't thank Eric enough for finding a car for me and I'd like to return the favor by sharing any knowledge that could help you guys. and I apologize now if I get any thing wrong... I just blame Global Warming
  15. Okey Dokey... Drop me and email on wrc22b@gmail.com when you get a chance and we'll keep in touch.
  16. I'm going with DaveT on this 1... That may miles, you gotta have some worn out brushes and/or slip rings. I would find a good friend with the same model car or alternator and ask them if you could borrow it, to try it out and if it solves your problem then I would look at rebuilding yours.
  17. I found a piece of cork cut to the correct diameter, worked a treat... I used the cork from a old rocket cover gasket, the bit that is left over when you buy new gaskets.
  18. I think it looks cool too... My thoughts would be to find some sort of chrome labeling stuff, like to stuff we used to cover our school books with, then carefully take the dash apart and make a template. Once you have done that you can sell them on USMB
  19. I'm not 100% sure but I can check the manual later... Off hand I think it's called the A/C Amplifier but don't quote me just yet?
  20. I'll try... If you guys need anything from Oz, just email me on raysubre@bigpond.net.au and I'll help you out as much as possible.
  21. Ohh... I thought the control next to the vent was there to supply fresh air to your face while you had the heater on to stop you falling asleep... Sorry I'll take some more pics tomorrow and I have a manual lying around somewhere. I'll try and scan the right pages and post them up.
  22. thanks for reminding me... I'll ask on Tuesday, as Monday is a public holiday
  23. The slide control on the ones in Oz, just changes whether the air goes to the front screen, your face or the floor... Chrome gauge outline things??? not sure but we dont have that in Oz and from the pic on this thread it looks like the reflection off the plastic face piece.
  24. ok... seems to be done just click on my photos and you'll see them as "Fan Box"
