I'd almost certainly say it's the fan relay sticking. Try whacking the relay box with your hand when it happens. I've seen this before on other vehicles.

Hi all. I put a Bosch aftermarket sensor in my 98 OBW, and it works perfectly as far as I can tell. I logged the AFR with a wideband sensor and laptop, and it holds a 14.8 AFR very accurately. Hope this helps.
