  1. woop! well. thanks for that insight, case of overlooking the forest for the trees. thanks -N
  2. Can somebody help me diagnose this further? I suspect faulty wiring somewhere, or a bad ground, but it's difficult to get started. Here is my (very frustrating) situation: Back left and right turn signals work fine via either hazard or indicator lever, but front ones do not Front left and right lamps are lit when the H/L's are on, but will not flash. They >were< flashing recently. So where is the best place to begin to diagnose this? Since there is power to the left and right front lights, I presume I should start at either the turn signal lever or the flasher unit. Any advice most appreciated. -Nick
  3. Hi there About a week ago I smelt something sort of burning/electrical/rubber. Since that time I have heard a new "whine" in the engine, that goes up and down with the accellerator, but lags just a bit. After poking my head around under the hood, I >suspect< that it is the AC compressor. I don't really use AC that much ,and was wondering if it is easier to just disable it (ie, remove the belt), than replace it (ie = $$). Do I need to worry about the decreased load on the system? Seems like that could be a >good< thing. Thanks -Nick
