That's neither here nor there. '85 Gen 2 "2 door" bracket will be the same as yours, and a '85 Gen 3 "2 door" bracket will need to be modified. Still leaves you in the same predicament.

Weber Conversion..won't idle
Greenley replied to sleddogg's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Send it back and get a one piece adapter. I didn't know they made the two-piece anymore EA82 only? Either way, have them send you another one. -
Help with a weber?? ( PICS !!!)
Greenley replied to GREENSUBIE's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Remove the lines and cap all that stuff on the passenger side. Remove the cap on Vac Advance pot, and connect a line from the carb to it On the drivers side, that looks like it's the fuel return line. I'd use it. There is tons of info on these here, SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH! -
The rear discs were for a fellow board member. All my subs are already equipped;) What a small world this Subaru community is. Keep an eye on the meet 'n' greet section for local wrenchfests or wheelin' trips. I know TSJ took his old RX up Jumbo Grade, so there's proof that they can hang. No EJ22T? You mean you don't want to do 120 in the snow

I got a set of 27" Kumho MUD-terrains w/50 miles mounted on pretty 14" wheels for $300 delivered :-p Too bad they discontinued these, because they're unstoppable in slop. A/T tires will prove to be nearly worthless in less than ideal conditions offroad. Though, the Low Range of the BRAT will make you think otherwise, if you're new to dual range Subarus.

Hey are you the guy i ran into at the Carson City PAP yard 2 weeks ago? "you" were with a lady i would presume to be your wife. I was the bearded idiot pulling rear discs off an XT, "we" chatted for a moment about an unbelievable RX you'd just acquired Great find

Do-It-Yourself Bedliner...
Greenley replied to TheSubaruJunkie's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
go professional , if you're going to do it at all. rhino looks awesome, seen it... and it lasts... If i had a GL-10 BRAT i wouldn't play around wit options think about your old roof rack, i sanded it off, it sucked -
I went ahead and checked both my EA81's. One Weber'd with the same PCV hose routing as you, and one Hitachi with the stock "F" configuration. Both sides are pushing air out on either engine. My $.02

BRAT behaving badly, please help!!
Greenley replied to Ziester's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
While i agree with you Sir Loyale2.7, i went Weber and it didn't solve the problem at hand. I still have a few other things to go over, perhaps my fuel pump isn't delivering enough fuel, or my cat may be clogged, i'll find out eventually. -
Did you see the red hatch? :Flame:Definitely him

BRAT behaving badly, please help!!
Greenley replied to Ziester's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
So i take it that your Brat runs fine for a while and then acts up out of nowhere? Is the chugging felt throughout the truck? Bucking? Does it depend on how much "go pedal" you give it? Sorry for answering a question with a question(s), but i'm in the process of solving a very similar problem. Just how similar is what i want to know That way when i fix it, i can help you & vice versa, ya dig -

The Gen 1 Winch - Best Replacement for Original
Greenley replied to Crabman's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
Run a few snatch blocks with the 2k lb. winch, should be fine. I know i wouldn't have a gen 1 brat in any position where i'd have to winch out anyway. my $.0002 -
fuel injection manifold EA81
Greenley replied to hatchsub's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Since this was bumped up from the dead, might as well help the dude. The 2.7 H6 you speak of is this: ER27: 2672cc SOHC, 145hp@5200 found in the 1987-1991 Subaru XT6 I'm pretty sure that he was talking about swizapping an MPFI equipped EA82 into a Gen 2 vehicle. ... -
What year is your brat? On my '84 (w/ stock manual mirrors) it's tucked in behind the radio console.
-
+1 ... never had a problem. Although if i were to drill a new set, i'd do it the right way for peace of mind.

Is this just a regular EA82 coupe..
Greenley replied to Greenley's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Quick replies appreciated, exactly what i wanted to know. -

86 GL Hatch Clutch/ Start problem
Greenley replied to rayban1's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Isn't the actual switch on the left hand side of the column? Held in by two small phillips screws and connected to the harness behind the kick panel ? That's the case in my '86 Hatch. Very easy to replace yourself. -
