  2. I managed to do without any body damage. My drivers side front axle went, though. LSDRWDFTW:rolleyes: Let's not mess up those cute lil' brats :-p Yes, i'm just jealous. We have some time to figure this out. The 14th works for me.
  3. I found the perfect place for a subie caravan. With some snow. No camera I rode 7 miles of gorgeous trail until dark ,off of pinenut road in Gardnerville, past Ruhenstroth. I think it's the *one* i've been looking for that goes through the mountains to Wellington. D/R is a must. Who's up for a long wheelin' trip?
  4. I must be special This was @ the C.C. yard.
  5. Swap names on the title with me Works every time. Most folks here would agree that a weber carb is a good start.
  6. No. Pick 'n' Pull wheels are free (5.00 core charge), and the muffler, well... it's stock. I cut mine off to throw in a scrap pile, you could have had it for free. Boy, do i sound like a jerk !?!
  7. Find another stock "catback" assembly, and weld the cherry bomb to your existing pipe. That way you can swap them out with two bolts...
  8. Web wheelers. I go all the time, but i'm so lonely out there in the sage and the pinions. +1 for getting this ************ crackin'!
  9. I guess i meant how are your rear axles being treated while wheeling these suckers. Anything broken due to overextension, other than McBrat's twisted torsion bar!??!
  10. Any problems associated with the install of these shocks, yet ??
  11. Just me being an rump roast, don't mind it :-p I think it is terrific and matches the trailer quite nicely
  12. You bet it did! Those things are pieces of crap. I picked up a relay, switch, and wires today to redo the whole setup. We'll see how that goes:banghead: I'll be getting some Rancho shocks next week, thanks though.
  13. Great pics jeremy. That is the type of mud puddle i've been waiting all year for! Count me in. im free on sundays I need to rewire the electric cooling fans, replace the rear shocks, and i'll be golden.
  14. Welcome to the board, my comrade Nornevaneer I'm with Zeno, how about a get together soon ?!?
  15. I wanted to get your old one from Dalton, but I don't have half a day or more to run out there. I'll just get one made down in Cali . You can get pulled over for the lack of a bumper there, right?
  16. kind of an irrelevant sidetrack there, but here is what some searching pulled up: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/search.php?searchid=615449 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69534 A front pic as requested by jeremy ::
  17. Well that sure took a while Here's what i accomplished while the board was down. The wagon is up and running again, with the "new" 130k mile 82 4 spd and a new clutch setup!! I'm stoked, having done all the work myself. If i can do it any one can!! The job wasn't too hard, easier than the motor swap i had done on my cousins' ea81 a week prior. It truly is relatively straight forward, it was just a matter of actually diving into it. I *highly* recommend renting a tranny jack for this job, it would have been a bear without... Old worn tranny out Hmm no spring clips, so thats what the the problem was Clutch disc remnants, as peeled away from the flywheel: Here is the difference between 81/82 & 83+ Throwout bearing and holder, The former being on the right. I used the 82 holder in the 82 transmission, although it mated perfectly with the bearing in the 84 kit Here's us above the Carson City prison this afternoon I left the sway bar off after the tranny install, it is a little more exciting on the road, but on the trails i didn't notice much difference. She's running like a champ...Everything is good to go for the 445 mile trip down to SoCal this weekend.
