  1. Man, i loved this brat since i saw it on fleabay. Good to see it went to (an uncle of) someone on the board. As for the wheels, they look great. 'Nuff said
  2. I've got the same issue, ting ting ting, from the u-joint. It's been doing that for 1k miles at least. Is it going to self destruct at some point?
  3. Deng, that is early for you (and me too) :-p Well if you wanted to hit the CC yard, let me know time, so i can meet up and head to Jibs' from the yard rather than going back and forth.
  4. I'll most likely be up for the Carson yard, it's been a while. What time do you plan on coming through TSJ ?
  5. Am i the only one who's cornfuzzed? Is the shindig Saturday only or the whole weekend?
  6. I'm interested in construction details. Is that a paper shredder or a monster ashtray, in the center?
  7. BTDT, girly. But, down a 40 foot embankment in some girls parents rental car. Turnbull canyon, southern california heads know what I'm talking about. Tried to hotshot it around some gnarly bends and eventually lost control, plowing into a fence, over and out. Rolled at least 5 times until coming to a halt at the bottom. I was the dumb************ of the day for sure, I ended up having to pull pieces of the windshield from the girls forehead. I'm extremely lucky i didn't kill anyone of the 3 passengers inside. It made your car look unscathed, so please learn from your mistake. Consider yourself blessed.
  8. Factory service manual. There might be one floating around the boards in .pdf form, or try ebay.
  9. Hey Jeremy, if you still have those BYB rear shock horseshoes, bring 'em yes? My rears are so toast, and i have some nice stock struts to put on.
  10. At least the wind has calmed down since last week. Keep us posted if you need a hand with anything.
  11. Brian's' wheels also seen here: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showpost.php?p=838134&postcount=6
  12. Can't go wrong with an AWD wagon for that price.
  13. My hatch started doing this sometime after doing the original compression bolt in lieu of the roll pin mod. The shifter would physically hit the tranny housing, which prevented it from going into gear. Tightened it up and whattayaknow, reverse. GD's "new" method is, by far, superior to the previous versions. Just my $$.02
  14. Thanks for the visual, my friend. I need to track this thing down.
  15. Ya mean you don't remember what you posted 5 years ago? I'll keep my eyes peeled, and if i'm feeling ambitious, i'll ask somebody @ the bike shop or pizza barn about it. I like the idea of it being garaged non-op, but the way EA81's are treated by the general public, it'll end up at the yard.
  16. Tapping didn't quite work. I literally had to beat it the whole way out with a deadblow and wood block. Thanks for the help.
  17. bump from the dead to say... There are a lot of cool EA81s in this town, but i haven't seen this one. I never knew there was a touring wagon in the 2nd gen body style. Have you ever seen it since?
  18. I've removed every bolt and bracket i can see. What is holding this demon in it's place so firmly?
