Well, seeing as I have not even started mine, I shall no doubt be last! Although, I do have a potential good source for the engine and adaptor plate now. Cheap, too! And if the same guy can find me a D/R (or maybe someone else), then I may still be able to do it this year!

Installing Rear Speakers in '94 Loyale
Hodaka Rider replied to brianbarber's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
My '93 did not have wires in the doors. The wires ended beside the front seats under the carpeting and a plastic cover. I ran wires from there into the doors, and separated the grounds in the dash. (high output Clarion head unit). -
Love to, but for some reason I have not been able to upload anything to my gallery for awhile now.

Just like how in some parts of the world, food is thown away or burnt, because they have too much. And then someone in another country dies because they can't get enough proper food. Makes a lot of sense.

Yah, I think I've mentioned it before, but a rust-free (or nearly rust-free) EA-82 fetches pretty good coin up here. Minor hassle getting it across the border, but it's worth it for many people. Might try advertising on Vancouver (BC) Craigslist next time. Browse the ads there, and you'll see what I mean.

Mind explaining why it was scrapped? By the looks of it, that thing would fetch easily $3000-$4000 up here.

'mattyg41383' did a 14.586 @ 92.72 and a 14.868 @ 91.53 Specs: *Weight Reduction -- Stripped interior, AC, all the random stuff to strip. *Tranny Cooler *Gauges -- big tach, boost, oil press, water temp *Swapped on V-belt pulleys instead of the serpentine setup. *Stock internals *Saab 900 intercooler -- rigged with homedepot pipe (smoother pipe is in its near future. *2.5" downpipe to Dynomax Race Bullet muffler *Boost @ 15psi -- just put a plastic tee in the wastegate line so it bleeds off. (I also have a better MBC in the works, but its not consistent enough to run yet) *5th injector. {Saab cold start injector, run off a pressure switch and a relay... much discussion about this on the board} *Gutted right headlight = Ram Air *K&N filter in the stock airbox.

Hood Pins... Cool or Rice???
Hodaka Rider replied to suberdave's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Sorry, but those seat covers are kinda . . . redneck. The hoodpins are nice, though. BTW: rice is not really an accepted term here to a lot of people unless you're talking about food. -
Going to be in CD'A area for a couple days. I don't remember who lives there, but post if you wanna do a quick meet. May be going home through Spokane on Fri.

The Hyperbolic ER27 Twin Turbo Build
Hodaka Rider replied to Gravityman's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
There was (not sure if it's still out there) a TT kit for the Impreza a few years back. They kept on delaying it because they were having trouble getting the two banks to run acceptably in a completely separate setup. If I remember right, the fix was a ballance tube between the two exhaust banks. Or, I could be on glue -
The Hyperbolic ER27 Twin Turbo Build
Hodaka Rider replied to Gravityman's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
1) I think someone did a twin ER27 before, but I might be wrong (I know single has been done several times). In any case, I think you're right about the documented part. 2) How do you plan on doing the exhaust, as far as heads to turbos? This is one that I've thought about alot - ballancing the output of the turbos might be tricky if done wrong. Same goes for turbo to intake. Basically, I don't think you can effectively run the two banks completely separate. 3) Congrats on implementing o-rings! 4) Looking forward to more of this buildup!! -
This one's kinda kool: Justy. 12.87 1/4mi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ad-ekKHCYrY

Project Progress Update!
Hodaka Rider replied to Steveman09's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Nice to know that someone did do it. Doesn't look like 'low budget' really describes this build. Although, I suppose it's obviously not a 'blank cheque' project either. -
Allied Armament Update 300 Hp Wagon
Hodaka Rider replied to Allied Armament's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Hmm. Didn't think it would blow an axle before it tore the fenders up. -
Project Progress Update!
Hodaka Rider replied to Steveman09's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
So the question remains: why has no-one O-ringed one of these yet? -
Sorry to hear about the loss, hopefully your wife recovers swiftly. On another note: my bro-in-law recently sold his VW Golf for an SUV. His reason? He didn't feel "safe" in the Golf after witnessing an accident between and SUV and a truck (neither of which was being driven safely, BTW). Turns out the SUV he got (Yukon) has a worse crash rating than the Golf :-\
