  1. So, what width Pugs did you use Noah? The Interco web site says to use 6.5" or wider, but I can't seem to find any that wide. I know where I can get a bunch of 5" but that seems a little narrow.
  2. Nobody's got pics of this spot?
  3. Unfortunately, that article is from 2000. Many of the laws could be out of date.
  4. Anyone have some pics of their Soob tackling "Expressway" in Walker Valley? Particularly the rock slab.
  5. If anyone has any insight or links on regulations for lifted/modified vehicles in your home State/Province, please post them here. I had found a good summary on the web before, but have since lost it.
  6. Dude, you just live in the wrong part of Canada. I can look down almost any street in town here and see several of the '85 to '94 cars. I can look out my office window and see enough street for 5 cars to park. At least two of them are usually Subarus - and neither is mine, either. Anyways, my vote is for the older car. But only if you can find one for less $ than the one you mentioned. Drop in an EJ-22 and you won't look back.
  7. Definitely double-check it all. If you find out he has interpreted things wrong, or is mistaken at all, be sure to print out a copy of the regs, or get the pamphlet yourself and keep it in your car. I've noticed the state troopers in WA and OR to be a little more anal than either the city cops or the RCMP up here. Case in point: I had a bad connection on my LR tail light for about a year. Drove past several of the local authorities during that time, even drove in front of a few. Then I go to Oregon and get pulled over by the frist one I see.
  8. That's what I've been thinking. I'll have to check with my Peugoet guy and see if he has another set, as I sold the last set with the car. Although I *might* be able to work a deal with the guy who bought it from me.
  9. If I have access to Pugs, is there any real point in going with the Toyota (or equiv) wheels? Plus, I'm going to use the 27' SSR's - which are are available for both 14" and 15" wheels. 14" pug steelie = more sidewall for offroad flex.
  10. Yup, I'll be going with 27x9.5 SSR's when I get my lift in. They're actually one of the less expensive tires in that size around here. This review helped seal it for me.
  11. Well, I know I've only seen 3 or so that I remember. And that's in the last 10 years. Think I should track it down and see if it's for sale.
  12. How rare are these? Saw one tonight with D/R 5spd, decent shape except for the broken rear window. I believe this window is specific to the RR Touring, yes?
  13. I've only driven it along the Gorge, but that bit of it is a nice mix. Can be a little boring if you're tired, but traffic usually keeps you alert. Traffic usually moves at speed limit or better, the odd vehicle goes by at 80+. Some VERY pretty scenery, too.
  14. Well, just looking if someone can go to a second hand shop there and pick up a couple things for me. I was there a week ago, and saw some stereo stuff I want. I could always phone them and see if they'll ship to me, but not likely they will.
  15. Well, the last t-stat I bought was only $12 up here in Can-uh-duh. But I didn't buy it from the $tealer$hip.
  16. One of my parts cars was a little bastardized when I got it. It had one caliper from a vented rotor car, and it fit with non-vented backing plates. You might want to check into part #'s on the pads, too.
  17. Back in '80 or so, one of the 4x4 mags did a project car with a gen 1 wagon. I believe they did some sort of a lift, bigger tires, winch, and maybe a d/r swap? Can't quite remember, and the copy of one of the articles I had went missing.
  18. OK, maybe you guys can contact them direct on the wheels and stuff? Here's the link. Ironic that a Mustang specialist also imports sweet J-spec vehicles.
  19. Like I said, they're not Canadian cars. You will have to read the NHTSA info if you are interested in importing one. My intent with this thread was to see if there are any particular cars that I should see if they can get.
  20. Hmmmm. Seeing as these are not 'Canadian' cars, not sure how to answer. Maybe the best thing would be to check here . There may be a loophole, as RHD Legacies (in particular, among others) were used in many states as Postal vehicles.
  21. Strange that this has created little interest so far.
