basically I've found that gen 1, gen 2, gen 3 Impreza and Legacy exhaust hangers will work for the most part on any of the above mentioned. I had some from a EA81 GL wagon on my '78 Brat.

and I'm here in Laramie as well. I've got the access to the parts that LUVMYBRAT has, plus I have my shop to do any work in if needed. When are you going to be in Wyoming, how long, and what part? If you want to, there might be a possibility of taking a ride in my RX if you want;) -

Mike, could you pull the passenger side rear quarter window for me bud? I still need one.... -
when you put the clutch together, did you make sure to put the flywheel side in toward the flywheel? Maybe you got the clutch disc in backwards.... or try taking the clutch cable off of the tranny and start the car. Might need to be adjusted more possibly.

well its either make 250 bucks or spend 50 to drive down there in a car that hasn't been out of my own neighborhood except for the one time I took it to work. You'll see it eventually, maybe after I get it painted, hehe:banana: -

Caboobaroo replied to Toms Brats's topic in Meet n' Greet. Your USMB Welcome Center
yeah Tom, I'm not going to be able to go since I can't afford to take time off of work, plus my RX is still 3 different colors and not show worthy in my opinion. -

I'm out. Gotta work this weekend to finish up a Mustang resto at work. Gotta have it done by the end of the month and at 12 bucks an hour, I ain't passing it up! So maybe us old schoolers will have to get together one of these weekends and have a bar-b-que or something. I'll bring hotdogs and a few other things if someone is willing to put it on.... Labor day weeked maybe? -

Shoot LUVMYBRAT a PM. I know he's after a few things like the rear roll down quarter windows with good seals to mate up to the door glass.... -

I think I paid roughly 15 bucks after tax for mine from Mac. They were having a special on it I think but I'll check on Friday with our Mac guy and see if they're still availible at that price. -

all right guys..... go to a local dealership that has the MAc tool guy come around once a week, and pick up the Subaru axle pin removal tool for less then 20 bucks. Yes, its the tool that is used by mechanics and for less then 20 bucks, it'll get the job done and you won't have to worry about it breaking off or any stupid deal like that. I bought it and it works awesome! I can get a number for it tomorrow since I have the paperwork in my toolbox at work. -

yes, I'd like to know too. Is there a difference for the engine sizes on the Fords or are all of them going to have the same pump? -
4-speed automatic slipping?
Caboobaroo replied to Pooparu's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
if you didn't put the torque converter back in right, you would have had a lot more problems before running the car. For example, you would have had to fight the engine to get it anywhere near close to the bellhousing on the tranny, then if you did, and said TQ wasn't lined up right, you would have heard some very bad noises when you pulled the engine into the tranny. Like a loud bang, some metal grinding, etc. Then, when you were to start it up, there would have been ATF under the car pouring out and it wouldn't have moved anywhere, along with various grinding noises. I've seen it done before, not a pretty sight:eek: -
