  2. yeah I'm glad to be movin back to the PNW. Granted, I can stand the cold here finally but its a little far from family and whatnot. I'd rather be like 8 hours away instead of 16 hours away. Also, WWU is one of 3 universities that offer a 4 year BA in automotive. The other two are... Weber State in Ogden, UT, and Norther Montana which is just a couple miles south of the canadian, US border so no freakin way. I thought it was cold here BRRRR!
  3. I get paid on Thursday Tex. I'll have some money for my mug AND for that engine of yours;)
  4. I have a AFPR on the way as we speak and currently saving a bit of cash to get the Nissan 280ZX turbo injectors off of ebay. I do know however at my elevation, I can run a wee bit less fuel pressure since I am 7200 feet above sea level but when I move to Washigton, thats what I'm worried about. I also have a 3" bellmouth downpipe on it as well. As far as breathing, I think it does it very well with a custom cold air intake, TD04, and my WRX TMIC...
  5. For those of you running a high compression EA82T, how much boost are you running and what kind of fuel management, if any, are you running as well? My plans are: carbed EA82 gen 2 turbo heads o-ringed block and heads copper headgaskets new headbolts port-n-polished heads port matched intake/exhaust and heads my current setup of bolt ons (TD04, cold air intake, spyder intake, WRX TMIC, etc.) fuel mods like 280ZX turbo injectors and AFPR then I'll be getting a MS setup as well, later on this summer hopefully. Wold this combination be able to handle 12psi as a daily driver possibly? Thoughts/suggestions/opinions/critisism is welcome
  6. Yup, decided I've had enough of this place and I want to get my BA in automotive from WWU! So in about a year (Aug '07) I should be moving back to the PNW once again:banana: For those of you currently enrolled at WWU in the automotive area, how do you like it?
  7. my cherry picker is a come along and some rafters in my shop;)
  8. awww what a cute little garage you have there Brian.... I can fit 3 Scoobies into mine and still have enough room, HA!
  9. I saw one of those on a small block Chevy which was a stock engine. Thing ended up grenading and getting sucked into the engine... bad day...
  10. on an EA81 car, its hard to do in the front but the back is as simple as doing a rear disc brake converison. The hardest part from what I understand, is the fact that you have to ream out the hole for the balljoints in the control arms so you can use the stock EA81 control arms, since the EA82 control arms won't bolt in. After that, I believe with some slight modifications to the knuckles/struts, it'll work relativily easy.
  11. I got 15's:D Lookin good Keith! Keep it up... now I just gotta get mine fixed:-\
  12. yes you could get a part time dual range 5-speed in the '85 and '86 RXs BUT the low range isn't as low as the NA version dual range tranny. More of a "sport" version
  13. Limited Slip Differential or LSD for short. Will have a big tag on it that says" LSD 3.70"
  14. RX's came from '85-'89. You want to find one from '87.5-'89 since they will have a Full Time 4wd dual range 5-speed with locking center diff, and a rear LSD as well. You can use a XT6 flywheel and clucth with any EA82 tranny as well.
  15. won't be long now until we see a thread about how he blows his engine again.... just kiddin Will, I've got faith in you! Now I have to stop blowing engines myself... stupid oil pumps.
  16. makes me want a lifted EA81 now:(
  17. nah, thats a lot of work for right now. I'd rather just swap the engine from the turbo Brat into it:D
  18. so then why is Japans lowest octane rating as good as our premium rating and they still run it in these motors for the most part? Their premium is like 120 octane or so. My friend who used to live there, just went back and visited a couple weeks ago and he was telling me about it. Also, their fuel is pink, instead of a brownish tan crap color like ours is. Now I know when I move back to Washington, I'm going to have to run premium and then some maybe in my RX...
  19. When I posted this, they hadn't put them up on ebay yet. I looked later that day but still nothing. You are correct my friend. These will fit MPFI EA81s and EA82s, no SPFI... sorry
  20. welcome to the wonderful life of owning a used car my friend.
