  1. hmmm well I have Wednsedays-Fridays off so those days would be good for me unless we can meet in the early afternoon on Saturday since I work from 9pm-7:30am...
  2. or just stop on by my house and see my Brat and the RX...... my number is (307)742-3587...
  3. *sniffle* I wish my RX was lookin as good as that one. Well I decided that performance is going to come before looks so if mine looks like a pile for a few months while I drive it, well at least it'll be nice and quick so I can show up all of them turboed Eclipses rollin around which are supposed to be "fast"....hmm...
  4. it should just be a few turns if I remember Mike. Shouldn't be too many cause the screw in part is how the ebrake works.
  5. I think I'll just get the MegaSquirt setup. Would probably work better AND you'd have more tuning capabilities when it comes to your fuel pressure I believe.
  6. I've been looking at some aftermarket rims for my RX once the 5-lug is complete. I remember seeing Tex's RX with 18's and they seemed a bit too big for my liking (and everyone elses apparently) so I'm in need of some help. I'm looking at these rims shown below for my black '89 RX. I'm looking at 17x8, 5x100 lug pattern and 46mm offset. Would this be too much for my RX? I'm also planning on lowering the RX with coilovers and getting aftermarket struts for it as well. If anyone wants the link it here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=674643&page=1&pp=25 The price on these bad boys would be $480 shipped minus tires and lug which is a steal for Sparcos! Also if anyone can photoshop these rims onto my RX for me, I would appreciate it. There's pics of it in my gallery. So let the opinions fly! *Edit* They also have them in 17x7's which would fit a lot better and have less rubbing issues I think. $420 shipped with no tires and lugs, Gorilla Lugs are an extra $40....
  7. WOAH Corky, you posted a pic of yourself finally:lol: Very nice Tim. Now I just need to get a pic of my STi I got for Easter a couple years ago:D
  8. not, won't fit at all. The rear hatches are HUGE and heavy! I knwo I replaced one on one of the Camaros I have. They will be too big to fit. You'll have to find something smaller and with the size of the glass on those hatches, it makes the very heavy and takes 2-3 people to move them carefully.
  9. so then what pistons should I use in my RX for the higher compression which I believe was like 9.5:1 or so....?
  10. well I've decided I'm going to try a muffler shop on making me custom mandrel bent piping and add some silicone pieces in there where the piping meets the turbo and the intercooler, etc. Basically means spending some $$ for it all to be made but I think in the end, it will be definatly worth it, especially with the mods I'm doing:)
  11. some pic would help since I can identify them very easily. If it has the external water crossover pipe on top of the motor which runs to the heads from the waterpump, then any bearings from '77-'79 will work. I can't remember if '80 and '81 are different since I haven't gotten a good look at the before. My '79 wagon had the motor replced sometime in its life with a JDM EA71 but they have an internal water passage and use a waterpump from an EA81. I got a JDM high compression EA71 for my '78 Brat which had the same thing. I found that they're a lot easier to work on compared to the older ones.. So yes a pic or two would help us out on it!
  12. damn you Paul, damn you...why do you have to be on the east coast and not my neighbor?
  13. Just the first time? You got that welder now so just weld the crap outta it!!!
  14. ehhh the new linky no worky for me....comes up with a saying "Thank you for stealing our bandwidth"....?
  15. cold weather in Cali???? Thats like having no rain in Oregon!!! Maybe you should move out here and feel what cold weather is all about man. Andrew has a paintcan with Chem-Tool in it and it froze one night. Talk about being cold!!!
  16. very nice Brian. Did you just paint the trim or did you go get different trim for it and different bumpers. Very sleak indeed! Maybe I'll paint my trim white or something....with the gold striping on the trim, might make it stand out in the crowd....time to do some photoshopping:D
  17. for all of those who have used a WRX TMIC on their EA82Ts, what kind of piping did you use, where did you get it, and how much was it about. I got an intercooler on its way right now to my house and just needed to know what y'all have used for setups on them.
  18. hmmm maybe I'll have a couple of you guys live in my car to help me figure all of this out because all of whats being said is right over the top of my head......guess maybe a computer course in highschool might have helped?
  19. well I am waiting to see how good of condition this one from Colorado is. I haven't seen it but I'm hoping its good along with the tranny so then I can have a manual again!!!
  20. if I can get to the junkyard sometime soon so I can pull my 5-lug crap, I'll see if the XT6 has a pulley...or a motor for that reason! Maybe I'll get the whole car and part it....hmmm I have no room....guess I'll have to make some:D
  21. so the WRX pressure plate will work is what you're saying and not just the disc? Hmmm time to work some major overtime. Mwahahaha intercooler and hoodscoop on their way right now and the turbo will be here the first of the year. Then the WRX downpipe will be installed and the major mods will keep coming! w00t!!! I'm excited!!!
  22. hmmm me thinky I'm gonna need that with a built EA82T right Will? How well does it work since you've tested them out? Just tryin to get some product testing for the consumer type deal:D
  23. what about carby pistons to match those rings Will? Me gonna need a nice set when I rebuild a motor for the RX....MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:grin: I'd need the pistons to match the last bore of rings you have posted on here...
