  1. yes but I was driving a Brat with ~110hp. Mmmmmm lovely JDM high compression EA71s with some work done to them. Made it real fun to drift in RWD;)
  2. I wish my RX had a diff lock..... stupid automatic trannies!!! BAsically Brian, get a vacuum tester and put it on the relay with the car off, pump it up and see if the relays are still any good (it'll be holding vacuum). If you don't have access to one of those, just get an ordinary vacuum gauge and hook it up and turn the car on. Flick the switch to see if you're getting vacuum or not to the relays..
  3. I was the one looking for bigger injectors for my EA81TT plans and this is what I came up with. The injectors from a 84-86 300ZX would bolt right in. Not sure of the cc or the flow rate of them, just have a feeling that they have a better flow rate and are a larger cc....
  4. yeah but still its a good idea to make a bracket, even if its just a little one to hold it down. Me? I'm currently making plans for a 3 point strut tower brace and a TMIC intercooler bracket....just need a WRX TMIC:banghead:
  5. guess I'll prolly be workin LOADS of overtime to get my new motor so then I can pimp the RX around in the snow and maybe come down and see ya guys.....and hopefully get parts right?
  6. lookin for the same thing man! I'm lookg for a 3-row for my RX. Been thinkin about a Legacy radiator since there's a few here in the yards as well.....If you can find a 2-row, see about a 3-row as well!
  7. meh coils, who needs them? Why would you cut them when you can just pull them out? I tend to use a cut off wheel, thats how I lowered the front of my '79 wagon and then cranked the torsions down in the rear. I said screw it with the Brat and pulled the coils out completly and cranked the torsions all the way down in the rear, pull some bumpstops and VOILA! lowered Br!z@t!!!
  8. so.... when are you gonna sell me that bodykit? SO would those camber plates fit onto an XT6 strut then? Possibly looking at some for the RX when I get the 5-lug done and the performance springs as well.... Oh did I mention the slotted rotors and 4 piston calipers too? Don't ask where they're coming from, just drool when I can get pics of them:D
  9. you're kinda like I am, need for speed. I got my Brat and my wagon and now my RX but man, I sure miss driving my Camaro since it has the "sports car feel" to it plus it doesn't have less then 100hp in it either. Gotta love the Subes but boy oh boy, I miss the speed and the looks I got driving in the Camaro......gotta fix it, I gotta fix it...
  10. I think I'll join you on this one Will...... Hmmmmmmmmm.........
  11. its all tight, well except for the fact that the gasket from the up pipe and turbo is shot. Oh well I guess we'll have to see if this motor is junk once I pull it out of there and start tearing into it. So it'll either be a freshening up of this motor or a JDM motor from the bay of e. Funny thing is, there's hardly any lifter tick at all......
  12. I want a set of those. Mmmmmm make RX faster....
  13. well I have decided to get a JDM motor off of the bay of e. So, gonna start workin my 3 days off every week. Means $600+ additional to each paycheck!!! So I'll have one in about a month or so, right after I finish paying for my girlfriend's laptop which is currently on layaway:D Then I'll get put the cams from WJM in there, have my 5-lug, get the FT4WD 5-speed conversion done, start figuring out who I can get ahold of that can put a 3.90 diff in the front and do the 3.90 LSD swap in the rear. Wanna talk about smokin 4 tires baby, YEAH!!!! Oh and the WRX TMIC, TD04 turbo, TWE up pipe, WRX bellmouth catless downpipe, catless exhaust, AEM muffler, STi hodscoop, ram air intake setup, and the list keeps going on and on and on....
  14. yeah please do. I need to get ahold of Sean so we can discuss my EA81TT motor idea some more:brow:
  15. I like the idea of 2wd XT6 springs......mmmm 5-lug is coming soon!!! Hey Brad, what kind of coilovers did you get for 8 bucks?? I wanna know cause then hopefully I can get a set for the RX;)
  16. so you're gonna lower it and make it a nice sleeper aren't ya:brow: Can't wait till I can get the Brat body channeled and set onto the frame:D
  17. yeah I was having the same thoughts but I have never seen this before. This is weird. Hondasucks had two bad headgaskets on his '87 GL turbowagon and it never did this even though it smoked when cold and ate coolant on a regular basis...
  18. I believe it is a Centerforce clutch but I can't remember off the top of my head. I got the info here somewhere because I was helping Hondasucks figure out a good clutch to use when he was planning on modding his '87 turbowagon. Just gotta look around. There's a thread that was started about clutches just a few days ago I think. Look it up!
  19. well I pulled the mid pipe off and the same kinda stuff seem to run out of it. I ran it hard in my driveway for a couple minutes this time and it appears to be water from the blown headgasket. But its black!?!?! I dunno but I also think I need a new motor because I had a little bit of a squeal coming form the motor after I finished "playing" with it and parked it behind the house. Oh well...... ther goes the 209k motor I guess....:-\
  20. who needs coils anyways? I got no Honda either but man, the Brat sure looked pimpin!
  21. Pssssst... hey Will, maybe you should try something that ISN'T a stock ECM like the MS and EDIS setup like you were talking about using;)
  22. man I wish my turbo wasn't covered in oil..... Looking good except for the fact that it looks a little messy but hey, if it works, why f*** with it? Very nice!
  23. well it'll happen with modding any turbo EA82T. If you plan on doing any mods to it, you will have to upgrade your clutch. Its a major must have! I'm planning on using a XT6 flywheel since its lighter then a regular EA82T flywheel, getting it lightened more, and then a stage 2 racing clutch for it. Add that to the lightened crank pulley with the 36-1 ring on it for the MS and I'll have problems trying to grab second fast enough!
  24. Ok so this oil leak I'm having on the RX is starting to piss me off a bit. So I went out today to hunt it down some more and to see if it reall IS my turbo or not. So I start it up and there's oil literally spraying from somewhere. Well I find out that the oil is either A) in my exhaust and is getting sprayed out through the partially blown out gasket between the turbo and the up pipe or I have a line leaking somewhere onto the base which is getting blown around by the exhaust. So I ran it for about 20 seconds and there's now a nice puddle of oil underneath my car. What could it be? Could there be a line that is cracked that I don't know of? I haven't done a lot of work on an EA82T before and so there might be a line I missed that is leaking. Are there any right there that could be leaking? I got some pics in my gallery. I also got some updated pics of the RX since I did the interior and put the new hatch on it. I have yet to pull the quarter windows from the donor in Casper and put them in so bear with me, at least I'm this far:D Ok so now the pics!
