  1. Just called you about some plans on your wagon and mine.
  2. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo62/17048670_brumby2 http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo62/sexy_brat2 here are the pics GD is talkin about. A gen 1 Brumby from Austrailia with an EJ20TT in it. Pretty sexy eh?
  3. everything to do a clutch properly: Pilot bearing Throw Out Bearing Pressure plate Clutch disk Hopes this helps man:D
  4. at a local wrecking yard/towing business, the owner has a 360 tow truck. Its like the coolest thing I've ever seen. He also has a spare body for it out in the yard for "just in case" reasons. He only uses it for parades but I haven't gotten to look at how many miles are on it. Its totally spotless:D
  5. dude nice wagon. Sorry I haven't done a rear disc brake setup on my 79 wagon yet. I want to though:rolleyes: Maybe sometime we could get together cause I notice you live in Medford;) There's a couple gen 1 Brats up here if ya need any parts. Us 70's guys need to stick together:D
  6. my wagon, 1979 DL 4wd, has 375K and some change on it:D
  7. also the A-pillar guage pod for a Impreza I think an older body style. Hondasucks had one in his 87 turbowagon. It fits BUT at the very bottom, there's a lip that sticks out about an inch. Could be modifyed to fit right but we put it in because it was needed ASAP:D
  8. time....lots of time. Trying to make these so they're exact take awhile especially when you do them by yourself. Also its kinda hard to get around without a car so I've been working on my 79 wagon and a couple other so I can get around:D
  9. I'm pretty sure the cars with factory air had the stickers on them. The dealer installed air had a "Equipped for installation of optional AC" or something like that sticker on it.
  10. do a search for it. A lot of people have this same problem and its been gone over many many many times before. I know there's a few people that have a homemade remedy for it but I can't remember who off the top of my head.
  11. not yet. It was gettin too dark so I will snap some tomorrow when I have more light to see by. It looks soo nice:D
  12. yep! Today I got my sexy motor back into the ole wagon. Took me like 30 minutes with Andrew watching me and helpin a bit. YAY!!! It's finally back in but it was too cold and too dark to keep going so tomorrow I'm hopefully gonna get it running again. I haven't driven it for like 6 months now and I'm missing it......soon.....soon..... Then I can get started on lowering it and doing all of the body work. After the body work, its gettin a nice coat of primer:banana: But its now time for me to celebrate with a beer:drunk:
  13. a carpet cleaner with the little apholstery (sp?) attachment on it should work or you could redneck it and break the pressure washer out:banana:
  14. He has a jizz monkey? What the hell is a jizz monkey? Sorry I knew someone was gonna do that if it wasn't me:D
  15. hell yeah I need one of those cause they're sooo cool.....maybe I'll have to go find one:banana:
  16. ok, my hood was a little FUBAR when I got the car so Andrew gave me the old one off of his '77 wagon. His wagon was silver and he painted the middle raised portion of the hood black and he also painted the side vents black too. Not my doin cause my car hasn't gotten and bodywork done to it yet except some better, straighter fenders from a 78 Brat that are the same silver color. Just haven't gotten the time to do the bodywork or primer it one color.....but all that will come after my "secret" work I'm doin on it:brow:
  17. was snappin some pics of my wagon the other day and I decided where to put the SUBARU emblems I got off the back of a Forester in the wrecking yard. I hope you like http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo62/AUT_2832
  18. saweet!! a 79 Brat. There's one down the street from me for sale. The lady wants 2k for it!!! YIKES and its not even close to bein worth that as it sits. Anyways, welcome to the board. If ya feel like comin down to the valley, I got a 79 wagon 4wd that I'm currently working on. Its a beast of a car and I love it:banana:
  19. you didn't screw it up when we were all out in the snow on the christmas tree run did ya? How was your tree after you got it home? Oh and the next question is......does it fit without a lot of cutting?
  20. Don't hate me for sayin this but I'm planning on lowering my 79 wagon even though its a 4x4. Everyone is telling me to lift it but everyone and their brother lifts them. Me, I'm gonna go to the opposite side of the spectrum and lower it.....but I also plan on putting a twin turbo EA81 in it too.......
  21. so ok, I was in the wrecking yard yesterday and there was a 79 Brat. The motor wasn't under the hood but it was in the bed. I looked at it and it too had the 1800 waterpump on it. I am like WTF? Did Subaru do something different in 79 or am I just crazy?
  22. this is eactly what I have to do with my wagon. One of the previous owners had a loan on the car by ome company but he never paid te loan and then the company went outta business. So now I get to send a registered letter to the company so I cn get the title for it. I got the registration and a bill of sale so now all I gotta do is send a couple of letters:brolleye:
  23. hrmmmm not a bad idea. Like a quick release like on the air filter housing box thingy. How it has those clips and you just go *pop* and it comes off.........Any more input would be helpful because I am actually thinking about making these if there are enough of a demand for them.
  24. since I know a lot of people on the board have EA82s, and since we all know that the timing covers SUCK, what if someone (like myself) started to make them out of aluminum? If I did, who would buy them? Just tryin to figure out if it would be worth it or not:D
  25. I plan on dropping a EA81T into my 79 wagon but I am gonna take the turbo off and replace it with 2 smaller turbos from like a Chevy Sprint or something. Mudrat79 told me that I would have to replace my steering rack with a later Brat of the same body style so them my axle wouldn't hit my steering column BUT I was talking with Hondasucks and he said he was able to drop an EA81 into his 77 wagon with no problems....who knows until its been done, right?
