  1. and if my wagon is goin count me in too.....if not, then I'll be with Andrew:rolleyes:
  2. that looks very nice, keep up the good modifying:headbang:
  3. well y'all know I have my pretty motor out of my car for a reseal and a nice paint job. Since it was out, I decided to replace the waterpump on it thinkin it would be a good idea so I wouldn't have to do it later. I ordered a '79 1600 waterpump from Schucks and I had it for about 2 weeks before I went to put it on. Well when I went to put it on, it was the wrong one:banghead: I ended up figuring out that it was an 1800 waterpump. I **thought** my motor was the original motor but now, I'm not quite sure. The waterpump that Schucks gave me was the one that works with the water channel that goes on top of the motor. Does anyone know what year this motor might be? Here are some pics before I put my waterpump on but the waterpump is just a regular EA81 pump. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo62/AUT_2602 and even though this one is a little dark http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo62/AUT_2603
  4. yeah I'm thinkin that I'm gonna have to cancle on it even though I don't want to but moeny is a BIG issue for me right now.....grrr stupid college tuition:banghead:
  5. well it all depends on what you plan on doing to the heads. If you end up reusing the old heads if they're not FUBAR, then I'd get the head gaskets and new intake valve seals. If you plan on rebuilding a set of "new" heads for it, then you probably want to get the whole shibang. When I rebuilt my 1600 heads, I used new headgaskets and I installed new intake valve seals. I haven't fired it up yet but I hope it runs like a dream:D
  6. Oooooo:slobber: its preeeeeetty.........HELL YEAH:headbang:
  7. so whatcha wanna do with that extra motor? I could take that 1600 off your hands:brow: :brow: maybe even get ya a little beer money too:D
  8. I also got the reprint from 1982 for the 1600 FSM for 5 bucks off of ebay:D
  9. you can also go and make it pretty and get the 10mm blue ricer silicone hose from Schucks or Knects for like 20 bucks I think
  10. as for brakes locking up after sitting for awhile, my 76 Triumph does this. All I have to do is take the parking brake off and hook a chain up to it and gently tug on it with another car. If that doesn't work, put a breaker bar and the right socket for the lugnuts and jack the car up and bounce on it tillit breaks it loose. I've had to do both of these methods before:D
  11. I'm with Mike. If ya were here, I would be there already cause I'm Mike's apprentice:brow: :drunk: :drunk: Oh and there are a lot of us who don't live in Cali or Arizona thank you very much. Oregon is just dandy especially this time of year.....MUD!!!!!:moon:
  12. yep gotta check it out while we're down there Andrew...maybe they have some gen 1's if I'm lucky:D
  13. you also have to remember that the GL's had all of the same options for the GL-10 but the GL-10's came with those options automatically. Hondasucks has an 87 turbowagon but its a GL, not a GL-10.
  14. then that means my 79 wagon will be a classic. YAY!!!!
  15. *starts his chainsaw* What do you mean ociffer? There's a reason I cut down that pole. Someone might loose and eye or sumpin. Lookat me, I lost a fender from it:D
  16. find a turbo Legacy wagon and convert it to a 5-speed.......hehehehe and then make "minor" adjustemnts to it like raising the boost bit:D
  17. you should get three and mount one on top of another and then mount it to the back of you car....then you'll be makin fun of the little ricers:D I took a wing off of a gen 2 (84 wagon) and put it on top of my 79 wagon and it actually looks pretty swwet while having that (I have a spoiler the right size) look:brow:
  18. don't get a Loyale, they're the bottom of the line basically with hardly any options. Just get a late 80's turbowagon or an RX and build the s*** outta it:D
  19. so how exactly should I do my drums then? I wanna do this conversion on my 79 wagon. I really don't wanna f*** my drums up cause it would be a b**** to find some more:rolleyes:
  20. my buddy got a sticker like that for his 79 Datsun wagon. it was hilarious cause people would give us the weirdest looks rollin around in that thing. Geez Brian, maybe you should watch where those posts are comin from.....me, I woulda just gone through the nearest yard and pissed the owners off BIG time......not like I've ever done that in a Camaro before:eek:
  21. I can't quite remember but I think there's 2 fuel filters on it. One is located underneath the passenger side near the tank and the other is located on the firewall. I know JonOfScio's 88 hatchback has 2 but I'm not sure on the older ones.....I never replaced the filters in my 83 but I know there was one on the firewall for sure:D
  22. and that means I'm gonna have to get some myself.......oh and it might help if my wagon was runnin too:D wait...Andrew....you need to get the sedan RUNNING before you can get some tires on it:brow: just thought I'd let ya know
  23. yep, sounds like a fuel starvation problem. Start by checking your fuel systen to see if you're getting fuel to the injectors. If you are, then prceed to checking to see if you have spark. If both of those are in fine shape, time to pull the TB covers off and see if your timing is screwed up. If its not and it all looks fine.......well......time to get a gen 1 wagon:brow:
  24. I should have the ole beer wagon runnin by then..... just slap a nice set of snow tires on there and I should be ready to go:D
  25. not too long ago, I changed my point disty to an electronic disty. I think its from a 2wd 82 wagon or something like that. I know that it is an EA81 2wd disty. It wasn't very hard, all I did was pull the old disty out, take the ballast resistor off and the transistor box thingy on top of the coil and drop the new disty in and hook the two wires to the coil and BAM, it ran fine:headbang:
