  1. I was wonderin if an XT6 clutch kit and flywheel would fit on/in an EA81? I am planing on gettin an EA81 turbo and makin it a twin turbo so I'd need something to handle the power of it........ especially when I do my beautiful burnouts:D
  2. yeah yeah yeah, I know but still, where would anyone else be able to find a complete intake with carbs and all? I know moosens just bought a intake off of ebay for about 30 bucks I think but that was just the intake
  3. the only problem with the dual carb setup is "where are you gonna get the intake from?" Other than that it should work but IMO, you should weber it. Easier and a lot cheaper to do that a dual card setup
  4. yeah Mike, 4WD burnouts!!!! Too bad Andrew's clutch cable broke last night:eek: good thing it was right in front of his house and we didn't need to go anywhere. Hopefully the Beer Wagon will be up and running soon so I can go "play in the snow" if it comes:brow:
  5. I miss drivin my v6 Camaro for the same reason. I could light them up so easily, sometimes without even trying (right in front of a cop too:brolleye: ) But I had fun drifting corners like a mad man in it. I never got extremely close to seeing ditches but there were a couple of times that the rump roast end got a little loose:brow:
  6. damn Brian, thats pimptastic lookin. I was thinking about gettin a set of pugs like that for my wagon but I dunno yet. I gotta lower it first and see how much room I've got:headbang:
  7. JonofScio just got a new digital camera from Gen. Disorder so hopefully I can get some pics of it here pretty soon:banana:
  8. yeah, when the beer wagon is finally done, people will give me the "WTF??" look. Even the Subaru lovers like yourself. Oh and cutting the springs does NOT effect your car in a bad way. It acctually helps it because its lowering the center of gravity of the car so it handles better. I know a lot when it comes to center of gravity...I used to build and race electric go-carts that were able to do 60+ if they're geared right.
  9. a 1971 Firebird??? what model is it? Trans Am? Esprit? base model? Formula? I wanna know cause I'm just curious. I love old muscle cars
  10. yep I got my gen 1 airdam from McBrat a couple of days ago and it look saweet!!! My wagon will be HIGH ROLLIN with it on there when I go pimpin around in it:banana: I can't wait to get it on there:headbang:
  11. that shoulda been the FIRST thing he checked, lol:D
  12. I was looking at the 2wd EA81 strut assemblies. The struts themselves won't work due to how the ball joint is mounted but I'm pretty sure that the springs might work. Hey Kit, yeah, we'll have to talk about this this coming weekend. Who knows, maybe my wagon will be running AND be lowered here shortly:banana:
  13. I am keeping it 4wd cause during the summer, its gonna be rear wheel drive:D So basically cranking down the torsion bars in the rear should do it?
  14. maybe try using engine enamel. I used white engine enamel on my front grille and it looks soo nice and I don't think I have to worry about it peeling. You want to mask off where you wanna paint, sand down the clear coat, maybe put a couple coats of primer on it and give it a few light coats of what color you're gonna paint it, then a couple coats of clear coat.
  15. yep thaaaaaats right, I'm goin the other way with my wagon. I'm takin it down to the ground. I know how I'm gonna lower the fron (cuttin the coils) but how can I lower the rear? I know it has something to do with the torsion bars but I haven't really looked underneath it yet. How do I crank my torsion bars down? Its on a gen 1 wagon so Andrew doesn't really know how to do it. Help!!
  16. I would like a set of those but I don't have no money....well not THAT kind of money:boohoo:
  17. usually they seal themselves up by tightening them, but sometimes, they don't like to seal all the way up so all you gotta do is put a little RTV sealant on them so them they will completley seal up.
  18. I found a color at Wally World that is Dark Ford Blue. It's niiiice looking. Unfortunatly, none of the auto part stores in Albany carry that color so I have to drive 30 miles to get more of it which I'm gonna have to do here pretty soon:banghead:
  19. ok well its not your CV thats broken. The CV is the outer joint nearest the wheel. The inner joint is known as the DOJ. Between the DOJ and the tranny, you'll see the axle stub with the axle mounted on it. There will be a pin but look closely, there is a difference on which way it comes out. If you jack the wheel up off the ground and put the car in neutral and take the parking brake off, you can rotate the wheel so you can find the hole that the axle pin is in. One side will have a little bevel along the hole but the other side will be completely flat (no bevel). The side that has the bevel on it is the side you want the pin to come out.
  20. I remember the first time I found out that Subarus had a dipstick in the trannies, I was like, "Why can't everyone else have it this way?:cornfuzz: " I love it. Now I can tell if my tranny needs fluid without having to roll around on the ground on my back and be yellin out words like "&^%@^%@!!!!!' or "^@*@*#%^?????!!!!!":brow:
  21. hey Kevin, glad to see you found your way to the board. I can check the Factory Service Maunal tomorrow or if we hook up sometime in the next week, I can get on Mitchell at school and we can look it up and figure it out. I shoulda told you to do that today but I completle spaced on it.
  22. HOLY S***.......maybe if I could pull money outta my @$$ I might buyt them but geez...385 a piece plus shipping......
  23. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get me a set of these rims in dark blue http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/wheels2/pug-aftermarket-alloy-15.jpg
  24. gen 1 with an EA81?:cornfuzz: If you get some pics, I might be interested in some stuff, not sure yet. Yes gen 2 wheels will fit on a gen 1. I have Hondasucks old rims and tires off of his 87 turbowagon on my 79 wagon and no problems:D
  25. check to see if your ground is corroded up into the wire. People think that if you clean a corroded connector that is goes away but what they don't know is that the corrosion crawls up the wire underneath the insulation. I've had this same problem before with headlights. About the taillights and the dash lights, it sounds like you might have a bad connection somewhere in the taillight system, maybe on the back of the headlight switch.
