  1. if you've cleaned out the "parting gifts" then don't bother about what I'm gonna say next. If they're still in there, have the car taken to the hospital so they can dispose of them properly. But I'm really glad to hear that it was recovered with really no damage to it. Like SubaruJunkie said, stereos can be replaced.
  2. hey!!! there's nothing wrong with rednecks. At least this redneck owns a subaru. I also own like 2 trucks and 2 Camaros but I do own a Subaru. Not all rednecks are asses just some of them. SO before y'all go stereotyping people make sure there's no one around that IS one. thats just my .02 cents
  3. hehehe just wait until the wagon is done....people will go "Thats a SUbaru?!?!?!":brow:
  4. yeah its just the manifold though. I'm trying to get my hands on one that this guy (not mentioning any names) has so I can put it on my EA71....its complete with carbs too
  5. I love girls like that. I met a girl over the internet who lives in Southern Cali and she told me she had a 78 Trans Am that she just bought. She sent me a pic of it and she was standing next to it covered in grease. Man what a sexy site:banana:
  6. do you know if EA81 stuts and springs will fit into a 79 wagon? If they do, maybe I'll have to cut my springs to lower it. I don't want to cut them if they don't fit until I have spares.
  7. well my neighbors don't like cars sitting on the side of my house on jackstands with no wheels. Stupid $%^$$ called the city and some dude came out and told me I had to move it or else I would get a fine and one less vehicle:temper:
  8. MAKE ME ONE!!!! wait, I know whats missing.....your grille:brow: I bet when you get it on the trail you'll be doin this:banana: But yeah, thats a very nice ride
  9. in regards to the 4WD, the transfercase and tranny are all one unit. SO it could either be the tranny or the rear end but more than likely its the tranny. Since its an auto, I'd swap a single range 5-speed into it. Hondasucks has one that he might be willing to sell for pretty reasonable. As for the hard starting, check the routing of the fuel lines, check the fuel pum p and check the filter. It could possibly be a vapor lock somewhere in the fuel system and so it hard for it to start when its hot.
  10. hmmm I'm liking the header. It sounds to me that Andrew wants the catless downpipe and a header for his car.... I might be in some *bling bling* if I do it for him:D
  11. if you do decide to put in the turbo pistons, maybe you should also look into doing a twin turbo setup too. It'd be one of a kind and REALLY fast too. I've always wanted to do that but since money is short and my wagon needs help, it hasn't happened yet. But it would be something I would want to see:headbang:
  12. man, subarujunkie, thats in BAD shape. But that is what my wagon looks like, same color but without the striping.
  13. for the XT6 5-lug conversion, you'll need the rear control arms, the discs, hubs, calipers for the back and the control arms, axles, struts?, hubs, discs, calipers I'm pretty sure. As for a body kit, I know an RX body kit will work but trying to find one is gonna be hard. Rims for the 4x140mm can be found easily depending on where you are. I know between Corvallis and Albany, there's a pug junkyard and I know the guy who owns it has rims up the @$$. But if you're doing the 5-lug conversion, I'm pretty sure the chevy 5-lug will fit that bolt pattern too. For the motor, better plug wires, plugs, and a hotter coil. A nice flowing exhaust will make more power too. But if you want to switch to a turbo, it would be easier to just go find one that is already a turbo.
  14. if there is a way, I wanna know cause I got a 2wd 5-speed that would work very nicely in my wagon.
  15. or know where a pug junkyard is:brow: go lookin for some rims...hmm maybe I'll have to do that sometime this week:drunk:
  16. well since Hondasucks isn't in town, I'll give you my email so you could possibly send plans so I could make one for his turbowagon instead of him having to have an exhaust shop do it for $$$$$. I'll just charge him $$$ to do it:brow: oh yeah, it might help you if I gave you my email, iroc_z2814@hotmail.com
  17. my 79 wagon has that badge. Its right there on the hood in the front on the right. So for all of you that think its just to '78, I'm gonna have to put a pic up on the board. Either that or my wagon is special:banana:
  18. aight I'll check the fork in the morning if its not raining too hard
  19. you should try and at least change the fluid and the filter because it can cause a lot of problems with blocking the valve body inside the tranny. It might actually be whats wrong with it but if not, you have a new filter to put into whatever tranny you'll be using.
  20. hrmm... sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. Check to see if you have power at the switches with a DVOM or with a test light. I could possibly be a bad ground on the passenger side cause if both of the windows don't work, that might be the case cause they have a shared ground if I'm not mistaken. So pull out the door panels and find out where the ground is. It could be corroded or be disconnected.
  21. gas is another nasty thing to get into your eyes. I was working on my 83 hatchback and it had that Carter weber carb in it. Well I replaced the accelerator pump in it and the hose that gose from it to the nozzle in the barrel. That $@%#$ hose popped off when I was testing it out and I had the top of the carb off. Needless to say it sprayed a lot of gasoline into my eyes and I had to run about 30 feet so I could rinse it out. Yeah.... no fun there, so now I wear my saftey glasses when I'm working with chemicals
  22. hey Mike. I just sent him the link to your thread so howfully he'll respond to it. He's off right now galavanting around in Utah with his g/f and he's seeing MY g/f..... oh well he comes back Tuesday or Wednseday, not sure yet. Oh and he's bringing you some money home too Mike so then we can have our own USMB DRUNK meeting:brow:
  23. well I've adjusted it again and again both the clutch cable and the HH. Still nothing! I'm guessing that the pressure plate is bad cause of the amount of play in the fork and just the way the fork feels. I could possibly be a sticking T.O. but I don't think thats the cause. %^@$@! clutch!!!! As for it popping a spring, I don't think that would be the case cause it would still shift sorta. It won't even go into gear while the engine is idle and the car is stopped.
