  1. Maybe you should wash it real good before taking pics:-p Looks good anyways though!
  2. Wait a second... is this the one in Monroe??? If so, I believe I know the guy's brother. He was asking me about it and it sounds like it needs more then a carb rebuild from what he was telling me...
  3. If its an EA LSD, then its a clutch type, not a viscous since the Legacy SS got a viscous LSD in it. Either way, sounds like a bad LSD chunk and would need to be rebuilt. Somethings not right in it
  4. Umm..... nope thats wrong Tom. This is why a Weber adapter for an EA81 will work on an EA71 intake manifold...
  5. Hahahaha. I was done with EA82Ts over a year ago.... Kids just need to learn for themselves I guess, like Rob:-p
  6. Caleb... you of ALL people know one word that describes the EA82T... BOOM!
  7. Nope can't be Hondasucks, he only has a couple EA82s and one's a wagon and the other is a sedan that don't go nowhere.
  8. Eh maybe but I'm not too concered about it. I really drive it to and from work right now since it has a little oil leak coming from the pan and a slight coolant leak I have yet to track down. I just miss having my turbo:-p
  9. Yeah I went to grab it out of the back seat when I got home and it was missing! I was going to call you about it but I came inside and just relaxed for awhile before going to bed:rolleyes:
  10. Yeah sorry, my pics are here... http://rides.webshots.com/album/555167621jgSQVh?start=48 Well I thought there was a scanner hooked up to my sister's computer since it was hooked up to her old laptop but I guess its not connected to the new computer... Hmmm seems like its gotten rid of drat! Thank you digital camera!
  11. well the trained professionals at PIA actually dynoed my car while I took a few pics. Took it awhile to hit 6k rpm though with the 16's on it:-p
  12. So today there was a NASIOC get together down at Pacific Import Auto in Tacoma. I put my name into a drawing and was the 2nd person to get picked for 3 dyno runs. I wish my scanner was hooked up so I can put it up here but its nothing too impressive right now. Just gives me a good idea of what I'm going to be stepping up to when I go EJ here soon. Car has an all stock EA82 SPFI in it with an RX gearbox and LSD. Out of three runs, my best was 71hp@5700rpm and 86 ft-lb@3550rpm. Not too bad for my coupe but after the cars I watched today on the dyno, its definatly time to go EJ for me:banana:
  13. Its cause I'm so hunched over Rob:-p I'm on the far right in the green
  14. I have a few pics so here's the link to the site their at. This is my favorite pic! http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2823638090067339125LAOSJD
  15. Thats what I was thinking! Caleb, just because you paint it doesn't make you cool. Thats like if Brian said he painted his brake calipers on his old hatchback... doesn't make him any cooler!
  16. running stock Potenza RE92s, 205/55R16. Tires have 70% on them and the rims have almost 0 rash anywhere. Not bad for $200... Coilovers do come and go but they are for the '93-'01 Impreza and ran me about $80 or so.
  17. Decided to finally post up some actual pics of my coupe. STarted out, a FWD 3AT with a blown SPFI. Now it has a stock SPFI in it, RX gearbox, RX LSD, 5-lug conversion using Impreza front axles, struts, knuckles and brakes, XT6 front swaybar, tie rod ends and lower control arms, XT6 rear swaybar, hubs and rotors, Ebay cheapo coilovers, WRX rims and tires, short throw shifter and a couple other small things... Here's a pic of it last October. June of this year. October of this year.
  18. gut the cats and put a custom axleback on it.
  19. A few things can cause vibration on higher speeds... First off, an out of balanced wheel, a bent rim, a CV axle with a lot of play (lateral, not longitudinal), a worn tie rod end, a blown strut causing vertical vibration from the uneveness of the road.... You need to be more specific. Does it do it all the time, just between certain speeds, what have you done to try and correct this? I'd go get the wheels balanced first and foremost, then go from there.
  20. Being the head alignment techician at a tire store (Les Schwab in Redmond, WA) I have seen other things not too uncommon to cause a vibration while the alignment and tires check out. If you get an alignment and the tires balanced and the shimmy continues, check the up and down movement of the CV axles. It should move up and down just a hair but if its anything more then that, time for a CV axle. I had a '98 Legacy Outback come in with the same vibration, would do it and then it wouldn't, (after he had an alignment and his tires balanced 4 times) and turns out the CV axle had excessive movement. Replaced the axle (driver side front) and the vibration was gone. Customer hasn't had a problem with it for 2 weeks now and he does a lot of freeway driving.
  21. I'm looking at joining the new gen crowd here very soon myself. Unfortunatly, the new gen will be getting transplanted into the old gen.. Maybe thats not unfortunate at all......
