  1. You're just jealous of WCSS Paul:-p It's ok to be a hater, now you gotta come out for one.
  2. This is why roofracks and Brat jumpseats were invented. Don't wanna deal with them? Strap them to the roof or make them ride in the bed:lol:
  3. count me in for a set for a gen 1 stage 2 wagon and a gen 1 Brat as well!
  4. For those of you that have been around for awhile, a few of you might remember my '79 4wd wagon which was my second Subaru (this is the one that I kept posting up for free all the time). I've decided that it needs to be resurrected. So its still sitting in the same sopt it has been for the past few years and now it's going to get put back together with the TLC I was going to give it a loooong time ago. So when I get a chance, it'll get the EA81 converted front end back under it, a new engine and tranny, plus its going to get some body work and paint finished to it as well. Its one of those cars that I can't seem to let go for some reason, and now that I'm back in the area, I have more ambition (and more money, hehe) to fix it. Here's a pic of its current shape and location...
  5. What a bunch of wussies you guys have turned out to be in Colorado! I'm going but I'm less then 2 hours from the event now:-p
  6. I still have his number from our little excursion last summer with the '75 coupe. If he needs to get in touch with me, let him know that he can call me, but if I don't answer, to leave a message cause I'll probably be working:rolleyes:
  7. I'll be working Friday but I'm taking Saturday off. I'd like to caravan down there with people, that would be awesome since I live around sooooo many board members now:grin:
  8. I only have to go an hour and a half to this one:banana: Granted my coupe isn't painted and doesn't have my RX bodykit on it but still. She'll be there rollin on some 15" steelies but hey, I'll be there and I'll be drinking from my beer mug I got at WCSS6:headbang:
  9. Rob, I know from experience that black RX's are very tempermental. Thus another reason mine went to Subaru heaven, it musta not like to run, but rather sit in a junkyard and be left to die... Thats ok though, my SPFI'd EA82 coupe is having hardly any issues, just a couple small ones like timing belt tensioners and stuff like that:-p
  10. I do the same for board members usually if its a large item that I have and don't really need. I sent hatchsub an EA81 radiator for his sedan when he found out his was messed up. I got a couple members still that I have to send parts off to but with moving and now working again, its been a little hard to get them shipped off. Oh, and I got some parts for Rob too:-p
  11. Thanks Skip! When I get some time, I'll have to hit up a yard and get the block so my blower works on more then just 3rd speed:banana:
  12. This my last postuntil i move. Im typing on my cell phone since my computer is packed. Sorry if itswritten bad but thishard. Takecare and ill be there soon! Wish me luck!
  13. if its an NA intake, you'll need to plumb in a coolant line for the turbo, pull the harness out of your old intake for the knock sensor and repin it into the spyder harness and figure out the AAV plumbing. I used an NA intake from a '88 XT and had a few things to do to it before it worked for me, but now I despise EA82Ts and so I no longer have the setup.
  14. As soon as I get to Washington and help the poor kid out on getting it running:lol:
  15. So when you're done Paul, you gonna come help me move too? I'll give you a '79 wagon:brow:
  16. yup sure does. I still didn't test it because I was replacing a bad timing belt tensioner instead.
  17. so I seem to have another issue but its not really bothering me too much. The volt gauge reads 8 volts on the one inside the car. I swapped alts just in case and it didn't move. I think the volt gauge isn't working right because no lights come on and it doesn't have any other problems. I'm gonna go check my voltage with my DVOM just to be sure but it doesn't seem to have any issues, even with my stereo up...
  18. The only thing I'm doing is swapping my alternator out with another one. This one seems a little weak when the lights are on and my stereo is on...
  19. Oh I have. I feel oh so much better. Now I gotta put in a new axle on one side, finish instaling my swaybars and a couple other little items and I'll be ready to hit the road Oh and a temp tag for it so its legal:rolleyes:
  20. well I feel dumb. I went out to check my injector, pulled the connector out from under the intake and it popped apart. Stupid thing wasn't connected all the way. I plugged it in and voila, no more problems. Now I'm gonna go sit and feel stupid:banana: But I am glad I have a new pump. The old one was lookin pretty bad. So no pump problem on my 18+ hour drive home
  21.  Its still screwed up!?!?!?! The put a new fuel pump in it and told me it fixed the problem. So I drive it home from work today and park it in the driveway. I go to move it so my sister can get her car out and the pile won't start. I'm taking it back up there right now and telling them to fix it tonight or at least figure out what it is... I'm so pissed right now... I have checked a few things while being pissed off. FPR checks out with the vacuum gauge, fuel filter passes the blow through test with flying colors, fuel pump is good since its new and yes, I hear it run, so what about the injector? Could this be bad? I have a complete intake and TB sitting in the garage with all the sensors and such. I'm going to take it up with me and tell them if they need anymore parts from it, that this is what they get. Strainer is also clean and was fairly clean when it was removed.
  22. Service pulled it in this morning and the tech working on it ran a few tests after I explained to him the symptoms it was having. He came back an hour later and told me he figured out it was my fuel pump was on its way out. Would run for awhile, then internally, would start to heat up due to massively worn parts (had it torn apart and showed me!). Ordered a new pump and will be here tomorrow morning. I have a used one I could put in it but the car has 256k miles on it and I'm getting ready to drive a good distance in a few days so I wanted to go new instead of used. Flame away on me for having a GM shop fix it for me but my stress level is through the roof right now. I move in a few days, my car is having issues and yesterday, I find out, someone figured out my debit card information and stole $200 from me on online garbage. I'm getting the money back but I'm too stressed to think about fixing my car ATM...
  23. Bill, tomorrow I'm gonna borrow the Brat so I can bring the trst of the parts up. That means a new EA81 waterpump for you;)
  24. So its in line for service tomorrow but I got a little bit more info on my issue. I put a pressure gauge on the fuel line just after the filter. Ran fine until I got it into the shop, which is when I put the gauge on, then after it ran for a couple minutes, it sputtered and died. Plugged the green connectors in and cycled the fuel pump like it should. Fuel pressure was not very happy looking. While the fuel pump ran, it was at 24psi, when stopped it automatically dropped to 16~18psi. When cycled, it jumped back up to 24psi, then back to 16psi....
  25. The fuel pump cycles with the diagnostic connectors connected. I'm just out of time to fix it myself. Yes they are going to charge me but since I'm an employee, I get a mucho discount, and one of the techs that I talk to on a regular basis, worked at an import auto place in town which he worked on Subarus all the time. Unless I paint his hood for him, then maybe he'll do it for free:-p
