I'd have a better time carving one than drawing one, different part of the brain I s'pose. Bump!
-
Has anyone seen one? I was thinking it would be sharp to color in some pages to solidify a paint job.

DUDE!!!!! No Brainer! UMMMMM........I might want to be next on that list.....or just to buy the motor and wiring....
-
Make your own. $17 bucks. There is a thread on it where you use 3-m window weld and make new forms out of tape. I believe cleaning is the pain, getting the old stuff off. I got two tubes but havent done it yet. You have to wait a good few days for them to harden.

Makes ten grand and warrantable work seem reasonable, doesn't it? I'm prolly $3gs into mine already I'm just short time and exhaust work. 5+5=donor, wiring, adapters. 5 fuel and driveline, 5 +2 motor rebuild, clutch and 2 trans and 2 misc, parts alone. Haven't done bearings, bushings, axles, brakes or shocks.

Now that is some rubber!

^^^^^Its good to remember you don't have that valve in your ea81. My ea81 wagon is a bit touchy in the rain, say, getting off at an offramp. Listening for the rear to lock up and the front not at all close to locking. Ea82s already have the valve.

The backfire sounds like a hole in your exhaust. So I was sittin at this coffee shop one snowy day (which is rare here), few years back and I see all these people going down this street that is blocked off, due to the snow, and every one of them slides out of control and hits this poor tree. I sat there for about a half an hour and must have seen 15 cars hit this tree. Some bouncing off it, some using it as an e-brake. So being the fool that I am, I gotta try it! Everyone else was doing it, right!? Well, I must have done something wrong because I never came close to that poor tree. As a matter of fact, I didn't slide once. My little subie just gripped the ground like it was dry. Just a little testimonial to the power of a subie and a good 4wd manual trans. Snow and city dwellers keep the auto industry alive in this town, I'll bet. I have never seen so many accidents and new cars all freshly beat up. I even got rear-ended once going up hill! Anyway....Welcome to the board!

I'll bet you'll love having a lifted roo in the amarilla winters! Say hi to the rollergirls down there for me!

I wonder what kind of mileage and hp you could tune out of a ea81 hydro motor, say megasquirt or whatever? I know there is a turbo motor. Its a light ride afterall.
-
Has High Guys built a 2000+ lift kit yet? I believe they have 99' down pat.

Dink!

Nice ride boss! Welcome! I love that body style!

mazda rotery engine transplant, is it possable?
Yo'J replied to hotrod_sol's topic in Subaru Transplants
Don't they go through those seals fast though? I thought that was the flaw of the rotary. -
That summit one is what I was thinking about making with an air return port and an extended pickup. I'll be looking at the parts today, they should be in. I'll be using the stock pump to fill it and the efi pump after it. Just like in that handy diagram. Thanks!

There has to be the magic number! The sacred triangle! Whatever arc! Ya'll know better than me how to find it!

You could cut lexan on your lathe no oil and just caulk it in. Should cut just fine maybe speed it up a bit. I make jigs on my router, same principal. Stuff glues real well with the right glue, fish tank quality for the corners. I buy scrap per pound for jigs at the plastic shops, you might do better up there.

I wouldn't call it a great difference, 4 nuts and bolts, 4 spot welds to drill out and 4 holes for 4 gromets, thats all on the crossmsmber that is, but, the power steering rack itself is the pain to find and the p/s steering u-joint. They usually come on a p/s crossmember.

I figured, on my brat, being a carbed chassis, it was of substantial need. I guess I don't want to not dd it or to really worry or wonder. P.S. look at the first one. Doesn't it look like a big truck fuel filter modified?

Anyone used this one? http://bcbroncos.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=27_51_108&products_id=119 or this? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RCI-2010A?autofilter=1&part=RCI-2010A&N=700+400379+4294920243+4294903853+115&autoview=sku Are there better ones? Other ones?

6207-2RS C3 Bearing source found
Yo'J replied to Txakura's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
McMaster carr has them but I don't know the source. I think they were $11 to $14 and they ship out the same day. If you don't specify shipping, sometimes they just fly them. -
Well, AHEM, :lol:I have about 5/16" of room between my rear strut (loyale wagon strut) and tire and I have rubbing from my 235/70r14 on my 2" lifted ea81 wagon. So I say the tire flexes at the top. Not enough to leave a mark on the tire thankfully, just enough to shine the spring.

87 GL Wagon PAINTED but Wont turn over :(
Yo'J replied to Caramanos2000's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Another thing to remember is that the three, starter, battery and alternator usually end up dying around the same time, like with in a year. They are the electrical system for the most part, so when one is going they wear out the rest. -
I'd have my car painted by now if I had a spot too. I was thinking of renting one. Dont forget the cans of "primer sealer" that keep the rust away. Works like a champ for ongoing restore projects. I'm gonna try the rodda mistints as they have a type of alkyd equipment enamel that comes in a few colors and only gloss I believe. I got three colors for $5 a can out of the local stores from the mistint stack. They say it should be sprayed on the can.
