I had a great time as always. It was great to see you guys. It's been since last years tree run I think. Thanks for putting this together every year, it's always fun. Sorry for the late response... Here's some pics We went up this road till tracks ended and we couldn't get any farther. I led the way for several others, but lost them as we headed up this road Since no one was around we found a spot to turn around and got buried in the process thankfully someone finally made it up with a shovel (since I forgot to bring one) and I got myself dug out. Then I helped the cherokee get turned around and dug out a couple times. Helped scoobyclimbs get straightened out on the way back down When I got home I pulled into my new garage for the very first time:clap: I can't wait to get it finished.... with heat and insulation:D Jesse

That's looking sweet man! I've got to start collecting parts to build mine. Looking at yours makes me sick of thinking about it and anxious to start building it. Keep it up! Jesse -
And a few more. Is that good enough Jeff?

I'm ready to roll. I'll be heading out in a few minutes. See you guys there. Jesse

I've got coilovers on the rear of my '81 wagen w/4" lift that are for a '69 El camino. All I had to do is drill out the upper mounting holes a little and I think a couple spacers at the bottom and they bolted right up. Maybe you could look up air shocks for the same application.?? Just looked it up. Monroe part#ma762 air shocks for 69 el camino. Not positive it will work, but might be an option. Jesse

I'm in! I finally straightened out my crossmember and exaust on sunday (damage from the july run). I've got a few more things to fix and check over and change some oils then I'll be ready. Looking forward to it! Jesse

This build looks awesome!! I've been thinking of doing a similar one but with a EA81 body. Keep up the good work. You've got me inspired. Jesse -
Coming to WCSS? What are you bringing?

Well I'm not going to make it this year. I've had to many things going on and I still havn't repaired the damage to my car from the july walker run. I also just finally got the permit to build my new garage, so I'm going to be moving cars and parts and tearing down my crappy old carport this weekend to make room for it. I want to get it built before the weather turns to crap again, so I need to get going on it. I was really looking forward to going this year. I'm gonna have to make it next year. Jesse -
I've been planning to replace my rotted smashed up rockers with tube for a couple years now. Just havn't got to it yet. I figure 1/8" wall would be good enough and keep the wait down. Hopefully I'll get to that some time this year. Yeah, what he said.^ Jesse

Here you go.

Had a great time, Night wheelin was a blast! It was great to see everyone again. That last trail was interesting. I've got some minor repairs to make under my car now. Bent/ relocated trans crossmember, exaust pipe, muffler. Jesse

Just though I'd mention for anyone who doesn't know as of 7-1-11 the Discover Pass is required at Walker and every other DNR land ORV area. $10 day pass $30 year pass per vehicle. Don't know how strict they'll be, but passes are non transferable. You have to write your license plate number on it. Jesse

I've got a lot of things going on this weekend, but I'll be up saturday about 8pm. Hopefully for some good night wheelin and maybe a run on sunday too. I'm gonna have to play with my wiring a bit to see if I can get my lights to work without shorting out my charging system. Jesse
-
Yes I do want to go night wheelin. It sucks that your planning it the same weekend as the big vintage VW weekend though. (you know me and my VWs) I was planning to go to a show in seattle the 16th. Maybe if I come up for fri-sat I can still go to the drags on sunday. :-\ I'm gonna have to think that one over a bit. You had to use the night wheelin didn't you!? Jesse

I think there's only sound on a couple of them.

My brother got some cool videos last weekend with his new camera. Enjoy!
-
Finish it. I want to see it on the trails.

That thing's lookin awesome Brian! Good job man! Jesse
-
Thanks man, you have fun too. Maybe we can go wheelin together sometime soon, somewhere we can both enjoy:lol: Jesse
-
Yeah a lot of it is pretty easy stuff but there are some fun and challenging trials to, you just gotta know where to go. They've built a lot of new stuff lately including a few really gnarly rock crawl hills, I havn't tried them.....yet. I always have a blast out there. And there are a couple huge watery mud holes, hence the reason I have a snorkle. I put it to very good use out there. But I geuss if it's to lame for you guys then:rolleyes: I'll have fun without you:lol: Jesse
