  1. thx looks like one of the places an hour and a half away has 2, will have to give them a call
  2. havent checked the pick n pull for a bit but they never seem to have the older GL's around me. its always the ej's
  3. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/4192514950.html so i have a 86 gl wagon 5spd fwd with a blown motor and i need a new one bad. the car has been sitting for over 3 years now since it blew and i need to get it going so i can have a reliable commuter. any input on if this motor would work will be appreciated, or if anyone knows of a relatively cheap ea82 motors in wa i would be interested in that also since i just need to get the car going and dont know enough about the ej22 swap to feel comfortable to do it myself
  4. finally quit being lazy and installed mine, the old one was completely smooth like it never had teeth to begin with
  5. thx for the offer but Subruise already hooked it up with one
  6. haha yea i wish it was 4wd so i could have done that, i actually have been on the lookout for a 4wd gl wagon for a bit but i want one thats in decent shape so i can depend on it for my daliy
  7. fack well i guess its off to the junkyard in hopes of finding a hub then unless somone one has one layin around i can buy from them
  8. so i had to have my 86 gl wagon fwd towed today because it finally gave up the go. it had been makin noise outta the front drivers side wheel for a week and i thought i could gimp it along till this weekend when i get paid to do the braks since it sounded like the pad was really low, but when i went to go up a hill the car was going then all of a sudden the speedo and rev just jumped up like it wasnt having to power anything anymore and my car coasted to an awesome stop. i put it into gear and it made a horrible grinding noise out of the front drivers side tire so i set the brake and popped the hood to see that the axle was spinning but the tire was not, even the axle nut on the outside of the rim was spinning:eek: so my question is this a classic wheel bearing failure or is it something more?
  9. haha yea it is hard to read that was my first option since i have the book. i think i got it since the car seems to be running ok now, the heat is jumping around a little but im guessin i got a air bubble in there so ill just drain and refill. anyways thanks for the various help from ppl:banana:
  10. yea i checked that out before but it still the same unfortunatly
  11. yea unfortunatly they dont list the carbed version under the vaccum section and the actual carb section (2-6) is completly gone but o well at least now i have everything else but here are colored pics of what im trying to figure out so hopefuly this can help me get this fixed finally haha. i colored the lines so they are the same colors in all the pics. also i have no idea what the purple one is below the carb???
  12. yea i was able to download then thanks alot. now if i cant do it i have problems haha
  13. no not yet i went to the local pull apart to try and find some parts and see if there were any motors i could use as a guide but the only untouched one was a fuel injected ea82 so it didnt help, but i was able to get a subaru shop manual out of the back of it. its for a 90 legacy it had the motor book and the electrical book so it was a bad day
