  1. How hard with this swap? I found a donor turbo car & was thinking about swapping the motor into my non-turbo 91.
  2. Didn't LS wagons come with it stock also? I have a 5 spd 91 ls wagon & thought I had LSD rear.
  3. Yes they did this for my father-in-laws 01, it had 34k and had external leak and the dealership replaced it with updated gaskets for no charge.
  4. Nope after cleaning and lock tight you should be good to go. I have done this on several and on car the motor blew 50k later after brother took out oil pan. I salvaged the oil pump for parts & it was still tight.
  5. That is a awesome idea! I love free or cheap fixes like this thanks!
  6. Anyone every use these before? Seems like a very easy way to bleed your brakes and only cost $28 dollars.
  7. Phase I 96-99 suffer from internal leaks, Phase II 2000 up suffer from external leaks. The phase II is an all around better motor imo, single timing belts external leaks, etc.
  8. I would say you are safe with 2003 and up. But this is a great leverage point so lower the price you are paying by $1500 keep this in the bank and if they blow you are covered & if they don't you can keep the cash.
  9. I have heard people say this before but Aaron on this list smoked several WRX on rally courses using the lift mention here. I can tell you there is a bit more sway around corners but a Subaru isn't a 911 to begin with so the very small handling penalty is well worth the additional ground clearned and it looks way better too. Plus most people doing this lift are swapping out 100,000 mile blown sturts like myself so the new sturts make a world of difference anyway.
  10. Speaking of rubbing, is there anyway to adjust or limit the steering on a subaru? I know you can do this on other vehicles, when I used to lift Jeeps I would adjust the bump stops so the rubber would not rub. But looking under my roo I see no adjustment area?
  11. I second this, I lifted my wagon with only new struts, no springs or control arms. I was even able to re-connect my sway bars. The ride is great, and you will be even higher than a factory outback.
  12. I know about this first hand. After I put on my lift and then put on 205/70 15 my speedo was actually correct after I checked it with my GPS.
  13. Those will probably rub on your struts, unless you change the offset of your wheels. I was going to try to go this big after I lifted my wagon but it was too close.
  14. I did the OB struts on my 91 legacy and after parking to stock outbacks noticed how much higher I was then them. Great picture
  15. So where do you work or get teh axles from?
  16. Do Impreza 15" standard steel wheels have same back spacing as Legacy wheels? I found of set of Steelies for my studded snow tires and want to know if a set I found will fit?
  17. You might also check your plug wires and/or put some Die Electric Grease on the ends.
  18. You can run but you cannot hide, Subaru is the in the blood or not. Trust me lots of Subarus later, I always come back.
  19. Let me know what you find out. I want to swap out the front and rear seats from my 91 legacy wagon for some out of a 97-99 outback. Anyone ever try this and do they fit?
  20. So I am going to add some lights to my roo and wanted to see some pictures of where other have mounted theirs.
  21. Also anyone know any good places to get tires installed for cheap in Colorado? I found $15 tire but was hopping for more like $10
  22. That is what I wanted to hear! What part of the world are in you btw? Thanks I want to get one set of tires and not have to do the one set of winter and one set of summer. I love the Nokian WR but they are pricing out for $900 set I can get a set of 4 205/70 15 from Tire Rack for $250 after $50 mail in rebate.
