just wondering if anyone has used EA81 Studs on an EA82? the heads must be very similar in thickness and Im guessing the threads are the same...
-
cool, i was wondering about this a while ago. I wonder can we find the pre-amp circuits in the radio, so we can amplify raw sound and some nice clarity...

Cool Eulogious, thanks. So the MS1 has a MAP sensor, does the MS2?
-
Interesting, thanks. So...how do they pickup MAP signals on this when the EA82T doesnt have a MAP sensor? And I thought the MAF meter actually had an IAT already... Does anyone have the april 06 subiesport magazine?

Just doing some reading up on the megasquirt kit ECU's, has anybody made one and run their (series2(hotwire)) EA82T with it? If so, what was the result? It sounds like a decent unit and also sounds like it is flexible enough to run the standard optical dizzy and IAC valve. any feedback and experiences would be great... thanks.

Im trying to get a set of oversize ea82t pistons, but none of the online subaru sites seem to list turbo ones, does anybody know of a source for them? thanks!
-
Yeah, I have tried unplugging the ALT, no difference, tried unplugging the handbake switch too, funny you say that it maybe normal, because I checked my dads legacy and his glows the handbrake light too, so its really just the tacho Im not sure of now... Its been years since I owned an EA82 turbo car, but I have a very feint memory that when I turned the key to on in that it jumped aswell, so maybe it is just the way they are??? Anybody elses tacho jump?
-
just a quick question regarding my analogue XT turbo dash : when the Ignition is on, car not running, the handbrake light glows faintly (handbrake off), pull the handbrake on, and it lights as normal. The tacho also momentarily 'jumps' up to 2000 as the key is turned to ign. Has any one experienced this before? I suspect a dodgey earth somewhere?

Here is a thread I did a while ago, may help you with your modifactions... http://www.ausubaru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15810 I reckon the way to go would be to make an adapter for the bottom, with a splitter that extends up to the port divider and converts the 2" port to 2x 1.5" in the EJ pattern (as you mentioned). Unfortunately each heads divider casting seems to be unique (I have cut, drilled, chopped, opened about 7 EA82T heads) so the splitters would have to be individually fitted and gasket thickness allowed for. Another option, which I also considered, is to cut a piece of 4mm Aluminium, fit it to the port divider and tack it in place with the tig at the flange face. I considered doing this, as I just finished making some headers, but I decided to stay with single 2" pipes this time. BTW, let me know how much you want for the heads, always looking for good ones, especially G3 ones...

yeah, I actually wanted the photo of the spare pistons that gloyale has, as there are two different OEM versions of the ea82Turbo pistons
-
Hey mate, I was wondering about the ea82t pistons you had, if 'how pow' isn't interested in them, could I please have a photo of the under side of them? thanks.
