  1. interested in brat if you still have it Thanks

  2. Let me rephrase that question, Where is the actual switch that turns the light on the dash on? I have a guy the want to buy the "switch", I know how to put the trans into 4lo lol
  3. right now Im planning a 4 speed dual range swap into a '93 Impreza that has a 3.90 rear diff and 1.8 from my research, im going to need, 1) ej/ea adapter plate 2) reworked ea flywheel to match ej crank (according to numbchuxconversion write-up on the ej22 swap ) 3) xt6 pressure plate with nissan 720 clutch release bearing (according to numbchuxconversion write-up on the ej22 swap ) 4) lengthen/shorten drive shaft(depending on what the length of the 4sp is) 5) custom trans cross member 6) put 25 spline stubs in the ea trans or use the fwd impreza axles that have 23 spline inners
  4. when it comes to subaru trans strength, for me anyways, its all relative. if there were problems with the 4sp d/r trans being "weak" we wouldn't have as many successful ej22 running bigger than stock tires as there are on this site thanks for the info on the 4 speed being longer, tho
  5. i only have 3 flaps and its not the stock radio and the dash has been cut to fit the not stock radio

    do you still want it?

  6. so this means that the '93-'94 impreza front axles can be use in a '95-newer impreza to allow the ea tranmission to match up the ej hubs?
  7. hi still interested in flaps and console /radio

let me know what they areworth to you shipped to 01754

    thx

    David

  8. so i found a thread where this is discussed, sorry I will post this questions there but... he is using a 5 speed. is my 4 speed any different other than have a 5th gear?
  9. I have this idea rolling around and had a few questions. I have a 4 speed d/r in my brat that im parting, and had a idea about putting it into my 2.2 impreza. What is the final drive of the brat? can I take the axles to the machine shop so that I can mate the impreza axles to the 4 speed d/r trans? does anybody know if the brat drive shaft is the correct lenght? I know that I will have to use (1)the brat rear diff (2)adapter plate and flywheel for the ea-ej (3) fab up a trans cross member (4) and .... answers to the questions above any discussion on the matter is helpful, its all speculation for the moment
  10. Thats good to know just cause i want to know, how hard are you wheeling without doors on your wagon? Ive always thought a doorless lifted brat would look pretty sweet
  11. arnt the doors a structural part on unibody vehicle? the reason why you can remove the doors on a jeep are because it is on a frame a unibody vehicle uses the whole body for strength including the doors. if you made a tube frame door to put something back in the doors place then you would be fine, Somebody on here did it to there Brat
  12. does anybody know if the 83 does have solid or vented rotors because i just bought a set of 83 calipers and now i may be screwed just like that gas tank i bought
