  1. when i upload them to photobucket thats how they are sized? i dont know how to resize them
  2. bought a bosch VL commodore fuel pump, plumbed it in and started first try i'll treat you with some pictarrrrrssss now.
  3. haha i tryed to find noid lights today, didnt find any so i ordered a set and bought a fuel pressure gauge. T'ed it in and guess what no pressure.chased the problem right back to the pump. it clicks but doesnt pump.blocked somewhere. from the lines to the engine from the pump are clear. fuel flows from the tank in the first bit hose, so its blocked because of the pump. if i can find a replacement pump today (sunday) fingers crossed it will start.
  4. the relay is clicking and sending power to it, i have connected the green plugs a felt the pump running. i might try hard wiring the pump, but could there be anything else in regards to the no starting? is there no other ground that need to be connected/added other than the one from the main relay?
  5. no, i have spark so its not power related. im thinking the ecu might not be grounding the injectors? im trying to figure were it grounds are sourced from.
  6. well its been a while since my last ej swap in to a ea bodied car and my latest stripped loom doesnt seem to be working. i have sparkand the fuel pump is activating, the engine/loom/ecu all came from a 91 liberty that i drove for 2 weeks before being removed. so i know they run. my loom i think is missing grounds, i only have the one ground from main ignition relay. shouldnt i have more? or something else tied in? this is not including the grounds from the smaller of the 3 main engine plugs. any ideas? this is in my 85 vortex, that was ea82 fwd and is now ej22 awd. just waiting on a shortened tailshaft (getting cut and balanced as we type) and this darn engine wiring!
  7. nah it looks like a single fuse like block that normaly one color goes in and another out. when people snip it, they lose power to certain parts of the loom. for example trace the thin yellow wire from the fuel pump relay (which is a swithed +) it has one.
  8. ok i did think oil and water sensors, thanks for confirming. it is all powered correctly now and fuel pump relay is ecu controlled. spark at all plugs ok now for the extra wires from the ecu, - aircon wires i will remove - fan control will be removed - state id will be removed - atmo sensor? - neutral switch? - park switch? it is a auto ecu and i will be running a ej d/r 3.9 5 speed
  9. haha thanks, but i already did this while waiting on reply. i have spark at each plug
  10. like it says, trimmed loom. main and fuel relays clicking (ecu controlled). i have power at my injectors but not my ignighter/coil? is this on the same power supply as my injectors or another source? i have it hooked up on the floor trying to get spark, power is through the main relay and im hooking up the ing wire from the ecu to switch it all on. can i jump a wire to the coil and ignighter? or which coloured wires should i be tracing? i just need spark this is 1990 ej22 wiring (auto if it makes a difference)
  11. this is a ej25dohc but im using a 1990 ej22 loom and ecu ok so im almost done with my wiring, but need a little help.. from the ecu plugs im guessing i can completely remove are; -atmo sensor -state id (for cali i guess) -park switch -the 2 air con wires -neutral switch these are all i have from the ecu that im not 100% sure about which is the gearbox id pin and if im now running this engine in a manual what do i do with it? chop it/ground it? i have 2 wires from sensors, 1 on the block the other 1 on the water cross over. which i have not attached, im guessing they need to be tapped in or are they just for gauges? they are the single pronged sensors see pic below VVV since im using ej22 wirng on this engine i had to pull the intake wiring off a car at upullit (wrecker) and because of this the IAC valve plug wiring was chopped off!!!! so can some one with a ej22 tell me which colour goes to which pin in the IAC plug? below are my ej22 loom side and the ej25 plug which is the same but the colours are not the same VVV ej22 loom ej25 plug ok fuel pump relay... thick yellow is constant power thick black? does this run to the pump? green comes form ecu and at a guess thin yellow wire needs switched power, not constant? and last question (im sure there will be more) powering, i have reread the ea2ej pdf and am still scratching my head. i have done this conversion before but have not had the fuel pump working? so what im thinking is.... the thick yellow wires to the ing'relay and back up power need constant power. the black is a ground the think yellows with red stripe supply power when the loom/ecu when the relay clicks over and the light green wire is what makes it all happen? (this im not sure on) so this needs to be tied in with the "ON" position of my ing'switch in the car? VVV i would like to atleast have spark before the weekend thanks
  12. i've looked at a ej sub frame swap in the rear of my vortex (un raised). and it looks easy enough the only problem is the fuel tank being in the way
  13. its a swap into a vortex and the ej25 wiring i have there are no pinouts for the ecu (one big plug)... so the wiring i have is useless to me but i might be wrong on the intake loom, it might be round on the ej22's. if it is i wont need to swap it and can just use the 22 loom and ecu, later swap ecu if there is a 25 ecu with the same plug config?
  14. ok so im pretty much stuck on the electrical side of my ej25d and im looking for allternate ecu options. could anyone confirm..... im thinking of getting a early 90's ej22 ecu and matching loom to chop (i have done one before and there are pinouts avail). then also taking the wiring from the ej22's intake manifold, to transfer to the ej25 intake (i think its only the intake wiring that has a diff plug to mine ej25 is round/ej22 is square, your passanger side of engine main plug). the other 2 main plugs (your drivers side) are the square ones which from memory are the same as the ej22 ones so i guess my question is does this sound like it will run? will the ej22 intake manifold loom plug and play with the ej25 injectors and what ever else is up there?
  15. well i brought the loom inside to work on and didnt get anything done there is no led in this ecu so no easy give away if its powered correctly. tomorrow im going to reconect it to the engine and just group what appear to look like powers and grounds and give it a spin, see if i get spark! if not people have been saying ej22 looms work? with the ej22 ecu? i have stripped one of those looms before with no problems. so maybe if a 22 loom will work with all my 25 sensors i'll just use that? my main problem is no specific pinout for the ecu on the first page, yes it is out of a AUS 1998 OUTBACK BG9
