  1. Yeah, that was my thought on it. Personally, I'll be putting spare fluids there.

  2. Thanks, guys! I won't be taking Sats off for wheelin much. So, enough about me...any of you southerners gonna make this one? It's not often that NWOG meets this close to seattle! Don't make me PM you all
  3. Added bonus!?! Looks like reiter and walker are about the same in elevation, between 500-1500', and the pit is well before stevens pass. In case of extreme snow we could always fall back on walker, but a lot more southerners won't show. Our last plans for reiter fell through, and the timing is just right too...this will be a b-day run for me. It's a decent trip, but I hope you can make it!
  4. +1 We did way too much planning last month to let 'er slide! I'm in fo sho
  5. Nice find, T-roy. It'll need some welding, but looks to be a fair fit. Did you happen to ask what it came from?
  6. That's awesome...I was just joking, but had never heard of that BB trick. Thanks, Will.
  7. Lol, where on earth would you even find a ferry horn, let alone spend money on it! Is your spare tire area free now?

  8. Nice! I want some cheapo air horns in mine, as only the high horn works...sounds sooooo pathetic. hahahaha!

  9. Yes, I'd try running a hot wire to the pump. Did you disable a ECU?...it is needed to run the pump, unless you re-wire it.
  10. Thanks, Jeff...love the damage report. Nice pics!
  11. Nice weather for it today, but too bad it's been so dry. Damage report?
  12. What's the old school way to balance 'em!?!
  13. Gutter mounted yak rack, some U-bolts and L-brackets. Rock solid and no drilling required with the wiring run up the gutter.
  14. I hadn't even considered this when deciding on drilling the hubs instead, but it may just be the best reason to. It's a lot more work, for nothing but looks...but it would look stock to the unobservant tire monkey.
  15. Ah-ha, that could be why it was suggested on the EA performance write up...it's outdated. Don't know when it was written, but probably before they made the coils in MX. Otherwise, a lot of great info. http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/ea-performance-page/subaru-ea-performance.html
  16. Welcome, and we'd love to see some pics of it. The off-road and trail news sections will be helpful.
  17. Put mine on in Jan, with no probs whatsoever. It's the standard 8140, not the HV, and even used the stock mount. I'd say performance increase is negligible, but it's still an increase. Was it the coil that died on you, or did it fry your disty? At one time, GD was saying that coil is hard on the disty, but you may have just had a bad apple too. Mexican quality control, after all!
  18. A neighbor of mine has a skateboard slide about that size that I've been eyeballing. zzz Isn't there a soob center diff that's a 1.1 ratio? Using that would get you pretty close to 4.10
  19. That statement is just wrong, Will! The 10th...thursday!?! If this run is split up, I'll make it on the 10th.
  20. Must be nice to be taking your time on this one...after that duner module build! I assume it'll be winched, so any bumper plans yet? Maybe the silver tank's, if it's not too heavy.
  21. ^^ +20 That's a clean slate. You should trade me for a badly oxidized and peeling hood in the same color...then you wont feel bad about bashing 'er!
  22. That's what I'd like to do, ideally. Was there new damage done for the insurance claim?
  23. 'Tis a thing of beauty! Hope you didn't get too far with installing the EA71.
  24. Yeah, I know it's not much to open 'er up...my other ride's a FS bronco. Had to haul some plywood in it the other day, with the gate down and the tire rack bungeed like hell, and it still bashed around making sharp lefts. Sure, a ratcheting strap would have done it, but if you do that often enough...PITA!
