  1. There are a few of us in Muskegon. We would love to meet up. Welcome to the USMB!
  2. Got the non rusty fender installed. I still need a passenger side fender. I'm gonna pick up a driver's side rear door from the local junkyard, as mine has a crease in it. After that, its paint time! Rock auto got a bunch of my money this week too. I figured I'd treat myself to some birthday gifts in the form of loyale parts haha. Thanks again for the hook up on those parts Tom
  3. Timing belt went on last night without too much trouble. Currentlry running without the timing covers. I do intend to put them back on, but I want to do cam and crank seals, but needed the car running and couldn't get those parts in time. Next stop is the muffler shop! I want this thing quiet.
  4. Awesome, Sunday might be better for me now that I think of it. I'm meeting Travis for some brews tonight, so ill talk to him then PM ya with our plans. Thanks again Tom!
  5. Not too worried about a dent, more concerned about how my fenders are lacking most of the wheel arch.
  6. Wow Tom. That even looks like its close to the same color of my car. I shoulda asked if you have a matching passenger side one too. What do you figure a good fender is worth these days? I could probably drive over next weekend to pick it up.
  7. Awesome! Let me know on that fender. I wouldn't mind making the trip over to pick up those parts. I'm sure Travis wouldn't mind going along for the ride.
  8. Updates: I got the drivers side in primer and all the rust repaired. I need a driver's side fender before I can paint it. No luck on finding one locally. I also managed to snap the drivers side timing belt. Ordered a replacement but it won't be here till Tuesday. I've got TDF in storage currently, but will have to drive it this week. Next week I'm inheriting an old ford Crown Vic, so once the timing is fixed on my Loyale, it wi join TDF in storage until I can move to a house with a garage. This fall has been a whirlwind of bad luck, and I no longer have a garage to work out of. Hopefully by spring I will be able to make some real progress on these damned projects of mine.
  9. Found a tail lamp locally, along with mud flaps. That's always a good feeling because these cars are sooo hard to find parts for around here. I also finished the tune up with some like New parts I scavenged at a junkyard. Still need to look in to the rear bearings. Are these as much of a PITA as the 4wd bearings? Still have yet to take the rear drums off or order those parts. I've also got an exhaust leak at the mid pipe. I should be able to order those parts this weekend. I've gotten lucky in the over time department lately, so I'm going to clean up the rust and paint this. Tom, hit me with a PM in cost of that dome light when you have time. I can PayPal you when ever if that works. Fox, any ideas on those parts you mentioned? I'll have to PM you later because my phone is being difficult.
  10. Tom, let me know if you run across a dome light. I also wouldn't mind a new rear bumper. Mine has some heavy scratches in it. Maybe you have one left from the parts wagon? Travis and I will have to bring a case of cold brews over for you soon. I might be interested in the five speed stuff but I've gotta worry about the small things first.
  11. Very interested in that air dam and side skirts. I live only a few blocks from where the ferry port is. I saw you were liquidating you ea82 stash. What are those parts worth?
  12. Looking for some parts. passenger tail light front and rear mud flaps. dome light cover rx front lip if anyone has these, I am ready to paypal. Hit me up here! Thanks again for the support and resources here at USMB!
  13. Bump for a rad BRAT, I had this pick on my phone from when I borrowed it to haul an old XR75 and to drive around with Metallica cranking on the tape deck!
  14. Updates: TDF is still running strong as my everyday driver until they start salting the roads. I painted the pushbar and added a roof rack from a `95 Legacy.
  15. Hey guys, I haven't been on the forum as much lately because my `84 DL hasn't been giving me much grief and I've been just driving it. I have been worrying since I sold my `00 Outback that the Desert Fox would have to spend a winter in the salt and snow of western MI. I wanted another 4wd old gen subie, but ended up with this thing instead. It's a `91 Loyale fwd auto wagon. I picked it up for $350 with a wicked coolant leak and a wasted rear wheel bearing. I still need to do the basic tune up stuff, rear brakes, and that wheel bearing, but for the cost of all that I will have a pretty reliable and cheap second car. 140k miles, Its originally from an old lady in Florida, and has only spent 5-6 years up here so the body and under side are in pretty nice shape. I don't know if I will bother much with the rust that is starting to show up, that will depend on my budget and how soon winter comes. I will undercoat and do my best to preserve what is there. First up though, was installing these H alloys that I had been sitting on a while. I blasted then powder coated them, and they turned out pretty nice if I do say so myself. I think it looks good, and I should have a good ride for under $500 when I'm done. I just was never a fan of the stock loyale caps.
  16. That windshield visor is incredible! Very cool wagon!
  17. I have an extra ea81 4 speed here as well if you end up having to go that route.
  18. search on Grand rapids Craigslist. there was a guy selling an engine for $300 a few weeks back. If you need a hand with an install, I'd love to help. there are a few of us here in MI.
  19. I have all those parts. Looks like a sweet wagon too!
  20. I'm running the wagon wheels with chrome beauty rings and stock center caps along with the Cooper Cobras. These are by far the best riding 13"s Ive come across. Good luck finding some in raised white letter though. I've searched long and hard and it doesn't look like anyone makes them anymore. My car is the same color as yours too, and I think the white wheels go well with the tan.
  21. Looks good dude! Get some chrome trim and center caps on them wheels!
  22. Very cool! it's nice to see so many old subarus together. You would be lucky to line that many up anywhere, so it's cool to see you guys are still keeping the faith on that side of the pond! I had been following the build of that green and black brat on Instagram. I had hoped I would see more pics of this meet. I really dig that high topper on the red one.
