  1. Hey, isn't it past your bedtime, old man? :P

  2. Heh, over 20 year old news. Look at the date on the card. Twitch
  3. Well, as was mentioned in the article, they're offering BOTH for buyers! So if the giant wing strikes your fancy, then you can have the Sedan, but if you just love the versatility, then go all out for the 5 door. Twitch
  4. Oh, I haven't seen any Honda's around like that, but a couple Mitsubishi's have been

    cruising around like that.

Just haven't gotten close enough to see the brakes, lol.

  5. Nice score! Looks like you got the typical problems that an 18 yr old car comes with. I didn't know that the autos came with LSD's And I would check out that LSD in detail, that upper plug looks a little odd. Twitch
  6. I bet your mother would never let you forget it, if she is anything like my mom. And it all looks good, high rev power is awesome for freeway travel, or rallycross I hope its one of those cars that never dies, just keeps on truckin' until SOA buys it and sticks it in their museum. Twitch
  7. +1 It looks like they went all "Fast and Furious" with it. I don't mind the green and black color scheme, but the hood scoops? And Lambo doors? And why did they put a steel plate to mount in the stereo? and not paint it? Twitch
  8. Sweet. Thank you Brian for making the offer, and thanks for tossing the bar up for examination Rob. Hopefully we can get these reproductions made so that we may entice our brethren from the midwest to come over. And also, would there be any chance of a convoy from Idaho/Spokane? So that we may have backup, just in case one of us breaks down. And as much as I love driving my BRAT, I would like it even more if I could drive it with a whole bunch more people and their BRATs/Subarus. Twitch
  9. Those are Cal/Masters Might wanna check out the subaru's of the 80's site a little more often http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/wheels/wheels.html Twitch
  10. Well, if we can't will you still try to come? Or maybe we could make you one? I know, home made isn't the same as OEM, but could we still use it to entice you to come over? I'm looking into having one made for Fenix747, do you want me to get you a price quote? It'd be awesome to have a midwesterner come over. Twitch
  11. Well, not new, but a different body style... The new Sedan STi And that shade of blue is just amazing. Twitch
  12. Glad to hear you got it going. Too bad we didn't nail it down for you :-\ And thanks for posting up what was the solution, maybe this will help somebody in the future Twitch
  13. Swapped hubs on Xandra's drivers side, rear. No more bearing rumble while driving down the road! I was actually able hear the person next to me while driving. Had to swap the studs between the hubs because the other ones were stretched and some of them were snapped off My dad showed me a good way to get my studs to sink into the hub. A nice thick nut with built in washer, a well greased stud and a lugnut, and I got my studs to sink into the hub without issue Twitch
  14. He's just being modest. He is considered the go-to guy for EA advice. (Yes, other people are allowed to inflate your ego GD) It happens all the time around here. You have stumbled upon one of the greatest information stores on Subarus, anywhere, and I mean ANYWHERE. Twitch
  15. Sweet, too bad you didn't yank the tires when you shot him :-\ But it looks good, in spite of the skull :-p Oh, and nice sketches, they almost look like you got them out of a coloring book. Twitch
  16. Hey, welcome to the forum!

  17. Wow, long time no post :P

Hey, I just wanted to say hi to the son of Ed

    He's an awesome guy I and I'm hope you're

somewhat following in his footsteps :)

Hope to see you post around a little more often

  18. Hold on, if you were able to lock one diff stub in place, you either don't have an LSD, or its completely shot. And if you accidentally counted every 1/2 turn rather than every full turn, it sounds like you have a 3.9. Twitch
  19. Ehhh, it looks like its trying to copy the mustang cobra's nose. I've kinda liked the Mini's for a while, I just couldn't get over the Fail Wheel Drive. But now, I think I want one! Just change the nose and I will be rocketing down the streets like a madman! (like I don't already :-p) Now I just need to come up with $30K Twitch
  20. I believe you will run into multiple problems with the fact that the Forester is Impreza based, not Legacy based. So some of your bolts, if not all of them, may not line up. You also have to take into consideration the floor shape, the shape of the tanks the location of your hoses (as was mentioned by Fairtax), and all the little things that were already mentioned by Fairtax. And as for the rear end fitting, I'm not too sure, I think the wheel base is different. You may have an issue getting your mounts to line up for the crossmember. I know the struts will fit, with minor modification. But as for anything else, I'm not sure. Twitch
  21. Heh, I'm just a lowly rock hopper, no safety gear, just my balance and good sense. I might join you guys on the smaller stuff. Twitch PS: Just looked it up on Yahoo Maps, 4 hours, not bad, a little farther than going to E-burg.
  22. Your EJ22 is pretty good as it sits, but a hotter plug will help your power a bit. I use Bosch Platinum+2's As for good wires, I currently use Napa "Beldon" wires, they suck. And upgrading your coil most likely won't do much for you. You can run a turbo on your engine, but it requires a bit of fabbing, a new ECU, a turbo (obviously), an intercooler if you want it to run reliably for a decent amount of time, and a few other things I'm forgetting. Somebody with more turbo experience should chime in. Twitch
  23. I would be trying to rebuild that wagon, its a rather rare car. Like, I've only seen 0 in person, and a few on the internet. Or part it out, as there are a fair number of people looking for parts for that engine. Twitch
  24. OK, the quotes I've been getting from shops have been a good chunk more, as in $400-$500 just for them to get the plates And as for replacing the plates, yeah, I could do it with the car just on blocks and in a few hours, I've seen how easy it is to pull the rear housing. And the plates just slide out, so even easier. And if the torque bind is just caused by gunk in the plates, would trans-tune by seafoam work for cleaning it out? I've never used it before, so I just want to know if somebody has used it and if it is a cleaner, or just a conditioner like the rest of them. Twitch
  25. Yeah, there is a LOT of space out there needs to be filled... WITH SUBARUS!!!!! Lol, anyway, back on topic, how far are you from your destination? I'm sure you can't be too far considering you're halfway through Montana. Twitch
