  1. Sweet lego My fave kind too, first gen, series one. I likey the color scheme, but no bumper? No good, its not on fire and there aren't people running away from it! :-p Nor is a guy beating it with a wrench cuz it won't run. But alas, I do enjoy seeing general mitsubishi destruction. Twitch
  2. That's the color of ZEH NITEVAGON!!! Cool find, sweet car Twitch
  3. Yeah, I've had a local shop do the same thing. Got the car into the red, parked it overnight, and had a jerky acceleration/no power problem afterwards. They told me blown hg's and I needed a rebuild or new engine, both would run $1000 to do. Being a green horn I believed them and I didn't know what blown hg's looked like, but took it home to fix it myself. But after pulling it apart, the hg's and heads were fine and after putting it back together, it still had the same problem. Turns out I killed a fuel injector. Keep your eyes and ears out for those "reputable" Shops and dealers. And as I like to say "Tech support? What tech support? I AM the tech support!" Twitch
  4. Sweet page dude! I definitely like the hand drawn design Twitch
  5. *******!!!! Dude, that sucks. Hardcore. Have any EA81 parts hanging around? I'd be willing to buy some, can't afford to donate, but I'd love to buy something from ya... Twitch *Continues to circle the dying XT6*
  6. I just found a pair at a local JY. How much are they worth to ya? The junkyard people are highway robbers, they wanted $25 for a headlight and $15 for a corner marker light!!! :-\ So IDK how much it'll cost me to get it. Do you want the black lug nuts too? I found a whole set on a 92 loyale. Twitch PS: CONGRATS ON THE WIN!!!
  7. This is most likely your problem (in red) :-p And I soooo thought you would've jumped on this one... But I agree with GD, the intake needs to be sealed completely or else you will have this ^^^^^ problem. Twitch
  8. GO GD! GO GD! GO GD! (Man this thing really needs pom poms) I know a guy who has an eclipse. He hasn't gotten more than maybe 50 hrs driving time in the last 3 years. And I may not have too much room to speak here, but he's fixed it, then broke it, fixed it, something else broke, and this cycle has repeated to the point that he's torn down the engine at least 8 times. [end rant] Yes, seafoam is a product you can buy at napa, csk/Oreilly's, Advance, Autozone, etc, etc, etc... Its in a white metal can with red writing on it. Says "SEAFOAM" :-p Twitch
  9. I haven't either, but I know people who have... (shakes head with pity) And a good cleaning with some seafoam will help pep up your engine and get rid of those nasty gunk deposits. Try running a 1/3 can though the brake booster vacuum line and letting it sit for a few minutes. Then another 1/3 in the oil the same time as the vacuum, and the rest in the gas tank. Don't forget to drain the oil and replace it with new after you put seafoam in it, and its best to do while hot and all the particulates are still suspended in the oil. If your engine is dirty, your oil should come out BLACK. I know mine did... But you should yield more power and better gas mileage after you do it. Twitch
  10. Well, you posted to have EVO's there. Do you want to have a fight break out? lol Twitch
  11. They have drain plug washers? Ooook. Oops I guess? I've never replaced, nor even knew about drain plugs washers. I'm pretty sure my lego just has a split washer(?) that is about 2 or 3mm thick. I just make sure it sits flush when I tighten down my drain plug. Twitch
  12. You're pushin' your luck around here buddy... DSM is total CuhRAP. and it's not a rivalry for me, but a total despisement and utter loathing. And the 323 GTX is ok, but get an EA81 Turbo for some real fun And for the exhaust, don't go much bigger than 2.5 in. Too much bigger and you'll lose your low end. Twitch
  13. Very true. All it takes to check that is to see if your center headliner is wet. Or pull it off and check if it is rusty or leaking. Nothing too hard... Twitch
  14. I believe that is what he was referring to, and as far as I can tell, they are sealed with a drain/breather gap/groove on the bottom of the slot. But they drain onto the roof, not into a drain tunnel in the roof. Twitch PS: Sweet screenshot Durania
  15. No, there is no drain, its just open to run to the window sills. I'll post pix if requested, but I think y'all know what it looks like up there... Twitch
  16. How about a little more east too? :-p Pretty little BRAT in that pic, and I like the wagon in the background I want to be there next year, hopefully my circumstances will allow me to go! Twitch
  17. This is true.

Small house, small heating bills :)

And yeah, I'm really lucky when I was trying to charge that battery.

It was about 10* outside when I was trying to jump it, and it was about 11pm.

    Not a good combo.

    Poor tow truck driver...

    That must've sucked hardcore.

  18. Yeah, I saw that on the WCSS posts. Lol.

It's kinda funny, but I'm still amazed no seals have gone on that engine.

It sat for at least 3 years before I got my hands on it, and another year

before I even started tinkering with it, and it STILL hasn't leaked.

The incredibly simple superior subaru engineering, at its best.

And I'm glad you like him, even with his "rust" :-p

    Twitch

  19. Hey Bill, how did rusty do at the show?

Did he make the trip ok?

Hope to see you next year!

  20. Nice. and that's a tiny house too!

A bit cozy in there, huh?

My current residence with my P.U.'s (Parental Units) is about 1300 sq ft.

I'm probably gonna be moving into a house that's only 600 or so sq ft with

two of my best friends fairly soon though.

I don't have a welder, nor does my dad.

The closest thing to a welder is my soldering iron.

Or a pair of jumper cables on a battery! O_O

    Yeah.

I've almost welded my battery to my hood and a few to many occasions.

Hooked up the charger wrong, hit an accidental jump with no battery

strap downs, a few REALLY big potholes and some nice ruts, are to blame

for the burn marks and rust spots on the bottom of my hood.

    Twitch(ing)

  21. So its just an arc welder for now?

And you're lucky to have a propane heater.

I have a cat and a reeeeeally thick coat.

    and gloves.

    and 3 hats.

    and 2 pairs of snowpants.

and 3 pairs of wool socks.

    :-p

    Twitch

  22. Yup. Esp. when I have a purple/mauve body, red front fenders, and a silver

    bumper. :-p

I'll have to get a pic up soon.

Before winter hits and you can't see the car, lol.

Did you get a little hungry after whiffing that stuff? Hmmmmmm??? lol

Yeah, that's cool that your dad has the tools and the skills to do that.

    Hopefully it stays solid!

I know how you feel about getting stuff done in fair weather.

My lego was prime example of "I gotta get this done NOW"

And thankfully the weather cooperated, not raining until the day after I

    was done :)

I can handle the cold weather fixing stuff as long as its above 20* but it's

    still miserable.

Actually though, I'd rather work on a car in 10* weather, than 100*

Call me crazy, but you can only get so naked.

And then you can't work on a car in a pool. :-p

But you can always add layers. and more layers, and more until you're an

eskimo with a dog stuffed in his coat.

  23. As far as to what I gathered, its like Lucas. They have a multitude of products that do all sorts of stuff. And just like Lucas, the majority of it seems to be snake oil. I trust seafoam because it has fixed problems on many kinds of vehicles and has fixed quite a few problems for me, not to mention the undying loyalty of those who use it, here on the board. And as for who use it "What have you been putting in YOUR seafoam?" Twitch
  24. Yeah, and I think he's excessively opinionated too :-p Twitch
