  1. Looks like a Californidahoan's truck. Good looking work though. After the BRAT is done you might be getting a call. Twitch
  2. I have considered cutting my Parts lego off at the firewall and making it into a bean style trailer with 4 doors and hatch. But Idk if it'd be worth it. Twitch
  3. We got a Jeff Gordon Fan!!!! ANd I like your setup. My shop is currently my Parts lego :-\ Twitch
  4. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I didn't leave any freeplay in the pedal. I might need to put in some freeplay back in the pedal. But the shuddering is still there when any major force is being applied to the engine or the engine is starting to apply any force. :-\ Twitch
  5. No, no, different thing. The clutch pedal vibrates whether or not the drivetrain does. And the drivetrain only vibrates when starting the car, or starting off in 1st. Twitch
  6. Nope. It goes away once the clutch is let out completely or its completely disengaged. But with the clutch completely engaged the clutch pedal vibrates more as I go faster. I thought that was something I need to just get used to... Twitch
  7. Yes, only one axle was swapped and that was the passenger side front. AFAIK they are interchangeable. Twitch
  8. That sucks, but at least you still have options. And 12-14k is the average price for an 03 baja around here Keep your eyes out for one, but be wary as people seem to be putting the baja into the same category as the BRAT. Expect the price to be miserable. Twitch
  9. Sorry nip. Its a 90 body, 91 engine, and a 94 tranny. Lets just say this thing has a Carfax rap sheet that'll make a convict look away with shame. I installed the spec clutch for a 90-94 lego, after I verified parts #'s, checking to make sure they didn't change anything on me in those years. I had the flywheel resurfaced the day I put the car back together, ummm Any more details wanted? Twitch
  10. Problem is, this car was originally an auto... So anything that crops up now may be severe, or nothing and something I just have to get used to. Like that %#@$*&^!@% squealing pilot bearing. But I did have to make a new spring clip, as I either lost one, or it never came with the donor car. It was made out of spring metal that had about the same properties as the clip. But, the shuddering is happening when starting as well, so could that be motor mounts? Tranny mounts? Twitch
  11. You might ask TomsSVX, he put an EG33 into a 99 SUS. He runs an SVX repair shop, I believe, and my have some good pointers for you. Or he may even have a whole diagram on how to do it, Idk, just ask him. Twich
  12. Yes, all bolts were tightened to spec and a little over. And please explain before I do. I can't afford to tear this thing down again. Twitch
  13. Many of here in the states would almost kill for one. Me included. If I had an EJ d/r with diff lock, my car would be UNSTOPPABLE!!! Twitch
  14. Soak that entire area for AT LEAST 24 hours before attempting anything. Believe me, it will make your life A LOT easier. I just pulled apart (and put back together) my 90 lego rear suspension, and I procrastinated doing it, just spraying it with PB Blaster like 3 or 4 days in a row before breaking bolts loose. Even then I had to use a 3ft breaker bar with a 5ft cheater pipe attached to break loose that giant bolt, as mentioned by grossgary. So use as much liquid wrench, Kroil, PB Blaster, or even just brake cleaner as you want. Twitch
  15. New symptom! It shakes and there is an audible rattle or repetitive thudding when I start it. Just like when I'm starting off. And since the clutch has been used a bit more the shuddering has been reduced so I'm guessing it was just because it was a new clutch, but this new symptom is making me think I need to replace my engine mounts. But when I had it apart they seemed just fine.... Any other suggestions? Twitch PS: I did a search and came up with nothing.
  16. I would say ask Bill (TheBeastIDrive) but he may only tell you to lift it :-p Ummm, just try to move the suspension components up and reduce the height of the rear struts. No real ideas here, but if I figure anything out I'll let you know. You might try suberdave or Numchux. Twitch
  17. I'll jump in before GD on this one, IIRC, it increases scavenging and allows for proper back pressure so you don't burn valves and have decent low end grunt. Twitch
  18. Sweet. I was a sube nut for about a year before I was a board member. Your collection sounds like mine. I've got a 90/91/94 lego (one car), an 87 GL pt4wd d/r (dual range) and an 85 BRAT Twitch
  19. Sorry, but I had a maximum number of selections I could put in, and that is the number of models I put down. Had I been able to separate every model into their own category, I would have. I apologize, but it seemed that the wagon and the sedan were the most similar component and body wise. Twitch
  20. Holy crap that is Green... Thank you!!! Twitch
  21. Flywheel was professionally resurfaced and all other clutch parts are brand spanking borgpwarner new. And no contamination, practically did a white glove service. Also, my pilot bearing whines. Twitch
  22. I just replaced the clutch, transmission and lower ball joints in my 90/91/94 Legacy, and it shudders and shakes when I release the clutch, but only sometimes. If I burn the clutch, it doesn't shake and accelerates smoothly, but if I release the clutch normally, the whole drivetrain moves a significant distance as it shakes, and the car's motion is jerky. I have double, even triple checked my bolts, and they all are tight and everything is attached properly. Grrrr, is this normal or what? Twitch PS: Is it normal for the shifter to be able to touch the driveline when shifting?
