  1. I think I know why the Outback is decreasing in sales. The Forester is the better value, it has more space, a higher ride height and starts out about a $1000 less. I wonder how the 2010 model will affect it? Twitch
  2. TWITTER!!!! I'll be twittering on occasion so feel free to follow me, and I invite you to join the light side and start twittering! http://twitter.com/TwitchdelaBrat Twitch
  3. Thanks, but I have a decent set of tires on chrome rims, I forget what they're called, but they are riveted with round holes. Twitch
  4. Ok. The air compressor that I could access was 500ft as the crow flies, but if I followed the roads, it streched out to 1500 feet. And the people who designed the parking lot made the parking lot edge taller than the street, so it goes up about a foot, then drops steeply onto the street side. Then I have to go onto the main road through town for 700 feet then pull into a parking lot that has two speed bumps before i get to the Air. Meanwhile the irritable cops are roving the streets. Any other questions? Oh, and a roofing nail was the culprit that killed my tire. Twitch
  5. The Nightwagon decided to strand me at work tonight. I've been limping along on a slow leak in the front left, ya know air it up for the day and keep on truckin'. Well, it's not that tire that decided to die. On my last pizza delivery the right rear decided to let go and I could hear an audible hiss as I walked into the store. It's late (obviously moron) and so I finished cleaning, closed up and had to call my parents cuz this idiot forgot to put his jack and spare in his new car. And I'm only 500 or so feet from air, but I'm sitting on chrome Jackmans so I don't wat to thrash my wheels. Oh, and that 500 feet turns into 1500 and a nasty hump, two speed bumps, and some extreeeemely picky and irritable RatDrum cops. Sigh... Twitch
  6. I do like the fact that they pretty much kept the front end the same. But it looks like a Buick in almost every other way :-\ It's too luxury car, but I guess that's what the Legacy has become. I just wish they would make a new platform to base the Outback on, because I see the cushiness making its way into the outback, but I guess that's what the Tribeca is for Twitch
  7. Hey Shawn, would that happen to be "The Bulldozer" or something like that? It has like 500 ft lbs on start and like 350 continuous, right? You, suuuuuck... Twitch PS: I would have bought that, but I wasn't going to spend $500 for an impact wrench when I could get an entire kit for half that. I'm not completely helpless when it comes to wrenching...
  8. Well, now you have more ideas! The EGR valve is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve. Basically as I understand it, it is designed to blow unburnt fuel back into the intake so it can burn properly. It also acts as a hot air hose to keep the carburetor from freezing up. But that's only my flawed knowledge, you may want to hear from somebody more experienced. Twitch
  9. If you have a ratcheting wrench of the 1/4" variety you could use that with a philips tip, or a 1/4" regular wrench with a bar magnet or piece of tape on the back to keep the bit from coming out. It makes a killer lo-pro screwdriver. Or you could just buy a swivel tip screwdriver. I bougt a bit driver with like 20 bits with it for 7 bucks at CSK/O'reilly's that has a swivel head. Twitch
  10. Durability I'm not worried about. I know these tools can take a beating, my dad has used them for 3 years+, but he has the 4 piece (same kit minus the impact). But that's what the torque settings on the power drill are for Any other recommended uses for it? Twitch
  11. Well Connie, I tried to test it later, and the car I pulled out of, had the battery terminals pulled when I got back So there was no testing it anyway. Has anybody done ANY testing with a multimeter? I know a lot of computer components are controlled by voltage moving switches and those switches must have some sort of resistance. Does anybody have a dead digidash that they would be willing to test against mine? Like a point to point resistance test. Well, what can you offer you offer? Twitch
  12. I was unable to obtain a battery (people were being sorta snobbish today) so I couldn't test it, but I'm hoping all is good! Is there any way to resistance test it to see if its good? Twitch PS: I'll get pics up soon, I'm unable to right now cuz I'm posting on my phone Twitch
  13. So who wants a Digi Dash out of an 84 Coupe? Yep got it at the spokane Pull'n'save out of a Fwd 5sp 84 coupe with a luggage rack It has 140k on it looks really clean. I would have posted in the fs section, but idk if I'm gonna sell it or keep it. It all depends on the interest. Twitch
  14. I know that it's weak, I get that part, but theses bolts I could reach up and break loose with a a stubby :-\ And I'm no He-man. I guess I'm just asking too much of it. Hmmm, hey Connie, have you been able to see if it has enough torque for lug nuts? Twitch
  15. I recently bought the 5 piece tool kit from sears, and I've got a few Q's about it. The impact wrench is rated for 900 pounds per inch, but isn't able to break loose bolts on my tranny crossmember :-\ The power drill seems to have more power than impact wrench Has anybody had experience with these tools? I've used the other tools without any issue, but the impact wrench seems rather wimpy. Twitch
  16. Well Bill, I'm glad I sold it to you. At least you're willing to polish and drive a turd :-p And doesn't it feel nice to have some barely broke in internals to play with? I'm glad you're willing to do what's right to an old subaru Twitch
  17. Are you talking about the front of the engine where the crankshaft pulley is? Is it situated directly behind the pulley and goes up to 20"? I'm not too sure that is essential. I completely rebuilt the top end of my 2.2 and I never needed to use those marks. Twitch
  18. I say its a tossup between these two. I think the XT6 ute would be the most unique, plus the 5 lug bolt pattern will allot for bigger wheels and tires. The Imp would be cool and require the least amount of mechanical customizing, but the amount of body work to make it look right would be a pain. Twitch
  19. SO does that deserve a ? Lol, I love the first gen Imp's. Especiallly the wagon/hatches. Twitch PS: How is it over yonder in the netherlands?
  20. You should sooo do an XT. There are so many around here getting junked it isn't even funny! I could buy one for $600 and bring it down to you or have Bill come get it. Its an XT6 and needs new HG's. if you do, if you don't. Twitch
  21. I'll have engine pics as soon as it is out of the car... Anyway, here's the official dellorto site, and the specs. I have yet to check the jets and barrel diameters on my stock hitachi, but if anybody could help me if they already have the stock numbers... I'm looking to go bigger, but a lot of the info they list is greek to me GD, or anybody for that matter, please give me a little guidance on these carbs, I know I bit off more than I could chew, but I'm willing and need to learn this stuff. I'm currently trying to get some specs from RAM performance, but I have to wait until tomorrow to find anything out. :-\ Thanks in advance for any and all support! Twitch(ing)
  22. You do have a point JesZek. The EA82 (with 206k) I just bought only drips a few drops of oil a night, and runs beautifully. And it came from Alaska! And as for the EA81, I would KILL for one of those engines. Having studs holding the heads on and also lacking a timing belt, I believe they would be pretty much the perfect small hi-performance engine. Almost indestructable, ask anyone with one, and all aluminum block and heads, they're light, being a pushrod engine, they are small in size, etc, etc, etc... Twitch
